A Tale Of Two Presidential Campaigns On Same Day by OsunOriginal: 10:03am On Nov 10, 2022
Yesterday, two major presidential campaign rallies were held in the country. One in Benue by Obi, the LP candidate, and the other in Borno by Atiku, the PDP candidate. The two candidates were on the same ticket in 2019 but decided to part ways for the 2023 elections. Maybe Atiku decided, this time around, to use another candidate, which he thinks will be more marketable to all regions of the country.

Anyway, in Nigeria, we know what a presidential campaign usually looks like and the festivity that goes with it. Looking at the pictures below, you can easily tell which one was actually a presidential campaign and which one looks more like a gathering at a village square for a naming or wedding ceremony organized by the king. Gradually, we're beginning to see what the evening of Feb 25th will look like.

Is Obi contesting to win or just participating? There is no consolatory price for runner-ups in this election.

And I thought they said everybody in Benue would vote for Obi. Why did they stay away from his campaign?

If you believed this, you wouldn't be creating threads. You folks can't just hide your fears. Maybe words in the street scare you, knowing razzmatazz won't cut it this time. If the crowd candidates pull equals vote, then PDP would have won Kano in 2019. Go market go see crowd of people hustling for daily bread, and mock them for not attending rallies. On election day, jungle will mature. Make una rest!

Lol, I didn't even know that Atiku campaigned yesterday until news filtered in that his convoy was attacked in Maiduguiri. The news about his attack what brought attention to him and not even his campaign cry cry

On the contrary, virtually every Nigerian adult who is politically aware knew about Obi's campaign in Benue yesterday. That's levels my brother. Giving school children and unemployed youths uniform to wear and transporting them to fill up stadium doesn't mean you're popular. All those propaganda will make his defeat even more disappointing tongue tongue

You dey mind these olodos? Peter Obi's venues are always filled to the brim despite the fact they always deny him the use of stadiums.

What they don't understand is that giving Peter Obi's supporters the impression they're underdogs from the beginning is what made them to go above and beyond in arriving where they are today.

He failed to remember that in those APC or PDP rallies, they mobilize crowds in trailers from neighboring states. On the election day those rented crowd would remain in their respective polling units. Who then are they deceiving?
