Mike Igini, the former Akwa Ibom State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), has accused some staff of the commission of registering underage voters.

Igini blamed the collapse of values in society for being responsible for underage registration, berating parents who allowed their underaged children to register as voters.

He disclosed this on Thursday while featuring on the Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme.

He called for the prosecution of the culprits, noting that persons involved in the INEC registration process were all staff of the commission, which makes it possible to trace those involved in the act.

“Those who have done this are staff of INEC, I can tell you. If you register as a registration officer, you register with your personal ID (identity card), all of them can be traced.

“Anyone who undermines the confidence of public institutions must be brought to book,” he said.

If you have time, go and inspect the voters register especially in Borno State.

They gathered underage children possibly almajirai from the street and registered them as eligible voters.
Their handler will keep the PVC and push them back to begging. On election day they will release the PVC to them to complete the job.

Nigeria is just a joke. Look at the attached picture. Was the INEC staff registering this kid in his dream. This is not a case of old passport because the registration is done with live picture capture.

Surprisingly, this kid's registration was valid meanwhile millions of registrants in SS and SE were invalidated by this same INEC.

Soon and very soon it will be justifiable to give up on this country. Na to just relocate marry oyibo and delete blackness from my race

The INEC staff received bribe to register underage children in the north.
Tinubu can easily influence the INEC staff with dollars the same way he bribed delegates of APC with dollars to buy their votes.

Hehehe .

Don't mind them, they think we are all fool's.

Issues were raised the other time about the illegality going on in Imo state and nothing was done about it.
The response from INEC is that our register is being cleaned up,but the question is how did all these names find their way into the register in the first place.

Now the issue of underage is coming up and INEC is asking Nigerians to please help them point out the facts grin.

Is it not possible to to trace the particular inec staff responsible for the underage registration and give out appropriate punishment

Human are by default corrupt what keeps us in check is sanctions for wrong doing

I was telling someone the other day, Nigerians are law abiding if the government makes an example of 3 or 4 prominent people who break the law

For example, let's say a house of rep member beats traffic, he is caught, and sent to jail and this is made public, repeat it for like 3 or 4 people, them nor born anybody well make dem beat traffic light
