It was a negative campaign targeted on Peter Obi.
But fact remains that between 1970 to 1999, no Igbo asked for restoration of Biafra. Not until Arewa 12 states urinated on Nigeria's Constitution through adoption of unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system in a multi religious society in the now 12 sharia states.

People like professor Wole Soyinka are too intellectual and cerebral for this country.

Intelligent people are in the minority & that is why people of questionable characters are making it into leadership positions in Nigeria due to the fact that democracy is influenced by the majority vote.

Unfortunately, the majority are not well informed, educated or perceptive enough to know that they are only being manipulated by these power hungry anti-humans who Nigeria is unfortunate enough to be saddled with.

That said, removing history from education curriculum shows that perpetrators of brutalities are being pricked by the conscience which I never thought they still have.

Nevertheless, Truth can never stay buried.

In all your vituperation and grammar, I only agree with this your last statement: “At the same time, however, we must take care not to become prisoners of that collective memory. That member must be able to use our collective memory in a progressive, productive, creative, and advanced way.”

The Ibo/Igbo/IPOB have not been able to use it in a productive way but rather engage in wailing when they are the one that started the war and the so called lexicon pogrom was started by them. Their leader refused all the peace overtures but blinded by personal gains forged a whole people into war that they know they have no chance of winning, and when the spades are down, ran out with his family like chickens and a coward. That is why these people have remained a coward suffering from inferiority complex and displaying such attributes as liar, propaganda, false news and fraud.

You chose to begin the history of killings in 1966 when Nigeria army military carried out a military coup that led to killing of some leaders from the north, and one from the SW.
Human lives are less equal to you religious extremists. But human lives are equal for others.
