Actually they did nott force us together. The North never wanted to be part of Nigeria that was why our independence was delayed to 1960. It was the south that wanted the North to be part of Nigeria. If by “force us together”, he means the removal of referendum, it was the south (Ibos) that removed the right to referendum. It was the south that abolished Federalism, it was the south that created unitary govt, it was the south that introduced the military.

The north exploits the political ignorance of the southern people.
A southerner will tell you that the land mass of Borno state alone is larger than the land mass of all the SE states put together, so why would the SE ask for more states.
