MRS CHRISTY UBA TO OVERSEE NYSC PENDING THE APPOINTMENT OF SUBSTANTIVE DIRECTOR GENERAL

Following the removal of Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah as Director General, National Youth Service Corps by President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, Mrs Christy Uba, Director, Information and Communications Technology, the most senior Director in the Scheme has taken over the leadership of the Corps in the capacity of Overseer, pending the appointment of a substantive Director General by Mr President.

Forget that your well packaged CV. It has no value in the Nigeria of today. Forget most of the job offers you see on the net. Most of them are non existent while the few that are actually real were just advertised to make it look legal and official. They have already filled those positions with family and friends before advertising them. Forget your First Class, second class Upper, second class lower, Distinction, Upper credit and lower credit results. All those papers ended within the four walls of the school. Forget that your 'I'm now a graduate' mentality. Nigeria does not know who is a graduate or a non graduate. In fact most job opportunities are provided by non graduates. You just have to forget all these and tell yourself 'I'm now ready to face my world squarely'. This is Nigeria!
