Oil marketers, on Thursday, issued a stern warning to the public, asking them to expect to buy petrol at ‘any price’.

Marketers, under the aegis of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, told The PUNCH that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited refused to give its members products, and that they bought at N205 from third parties.

National Controller Operations, IPMAN, Mike Osatuyi, told The PUNCH that members of the association had bought products for N205 and would add N13 transportation to the cost.

“NNPC refuses to give us fuel. We buy from third parties and can sell at any price because if the landing cost to our stations is N218 per litre, how much do you expect us to sell? So the public should expect fuel at any price, depending on the area,” he said.

Spokesperson for NNPCL, Garba Deen Mohammed, could not be reached for his reaction.

Spokesperson for the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, Clement Isong, had told The PUNCH on Wednesday that the association had held a logistics meeting with the NNPC.

What did I tell you guys about Organized Private Sector again?

By the time they are done with their shenanigans, Nigerians will be stoning APC by February next year.

The game is just starting.

I now believe the powers that be don't want tinubu anywhere near Aso rock.
Usually, these politicians reduce fuel price during election period to entice voters and increase it after elections, but it got to Tinubu's turn and everything has gone haywire.

Anyways, anything to get these thieving party out of Aso rock is welcome.

Also PDP is doing a miserable job as opposition. We all know how APC used every single thing against PDP. Atiku should throw his weight behind Peter Obi as it seems he's not serious

I just need to leave Nigeria at all cost!
i get to pay 10,000 / month to NEPA and still buy fuel almost 30k/month because of Remote jobs and still i am not sure of 100% Light. Then another increase again?

Best is to leave. Nigeria has got a very long way to go!

Lol, they should just remove the fuel subsidy and allow free market please. We are tired, everyone should import and set his or her price so that market force can determine the true worth of petrol. We bought at 250 per litre in Kano last week. 235 in lokoja, 220 in edo state. So let them free the market, sunsidy is meant to enrich some few people
