Nigeria has so bleeped with your psyche that you see normal things as abnormal. Politicians campaign with stolen money so that they do vote buying or one God father funds than and in the end they get strangled by the god father such that they cannot work. But in developed economies they solicit for funds via donations which makes the leaders independent and free to make policies that would favor the people.
