A governor won election by sharing 1 litre of kerosene to some households. Since then, the next project the governor embarked on was to kick start award of N500 to any woman who put to bed. After that, nothing more was ever heard.

But indigenes of the state have been insulting Buhari and Tinubu for stealing their future. That is clear display of stark illiteracy. They expect Buhari to start sinking boreholes and repairing roads in their communities.

FG is responsible for federal affairs while the states are responsible for their own citizens and their local affairs and this is the reason why they share our National resources.

From the federal account, the FG sends allocations to the states specifically to take care of their citizens, to build schools, roads, and hospitals, pay salaries and for social programs and policies, but average Nigeria will look at the bad road in front of their house and insult and abuse the FG, to them, the FG is responsible for everything while their own governors fly under their radar as if they are invisible and not responsible for anything.

Most of the anti-FG critics are from the failed states with the most useless governors, they think the IGR and allocations their governors collect are not to take care of them.

The governors are the weakest link.

But if our oil production of 1.8m barrels was being met instead of exports dropping to 8-900k barrels, I dont think we would have been in this terrible state. The Niger delta was producing more before it was militarized. Imagine the income in hard currency lost from eg 1m barrels daily.
In my humble opinion, that is the major reason we are in this poo. The loss of income during this period of high oil prices. This I think is the major cause of the tanking of the value of the naira. Ie reduced forex income and further poverty.
Who is responsible for this? As far as I know, you cannot paddle a canoe towards our waters in the Niger delta without the navy intercepting you, much more super tankers carrying 3m barrels of oil.
Therefore, I think the problem is from the highest level of government.

Buhari's meddling in the FX market is the primary reason why the economy has performed so woefully. It's good all the 3 leading presidential contenders have all promised to make the currency flexible upon assuming office. This can simply be achieved by respecting the CBN's autonomy.

Go and ask Obaino, Okorocha, Obi, what they did with over N300billion given collectively to them in their southeast states, if they utilized these money judiciously, Alaigbo would have been a developed city, and you people don't have to be rushing to South West and South South to survive.
