A Nigerian lady, Chidera Ochuagu has said that men who leave their countries of residence and travel to their villages to find wives are "creeps and abusers."


Ochuagu, who described herself as a 'feminist, queer, atheist', stated this via Twitter on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

"Men who leave their countries of residence and go to other countries specifically to find a woman to marry are creeps, abusers, and highly misogynistic.

You can say that about Nigerian men who live abroad coming back to their village or villages in Nigeria to find a wife because the women in the UK or Germany Or America are "too eye open". Those men are abusers and creeps and they have
NOTHING but hate and violence to offer women,"

Not all of them are bad. Most men that come back to Nigeria to marry women do so because they are scared of the unknown and their law abroad doesn't favour men as regards divorce. Although it favours men also.

So, most of them come to Nigeria to marry women that are doesn't have the upbringing of a foreign country, hoping they will enjoy their marriage with them. Although some of these men are misogynist and couldn't do any trash with the women abroad, hence the reason they come home to marry.

However, the mistake most people make is that they don't know how to manage situations. You can't expect a woman that was raised in a society that see women as inferior not to utilize the opportunity of being abroad (a society that gives women right) whenever you do injustice to her.

Lastly, I believe it all depends on both individuals in marriage and couples should learn to understand that love or material things are not the only requirements of being in a marriage. Sadly, many don't care and they keep having marital issues that ruins their life.

She's entitled to her opinion, but I strongly disagree.

We all should be circumspect when taking a decision that will either make or mar us.

Some people these days marry for different reasons and with different intentions.

Lolz, You should have asked the men why they prefer women from their villages. There are alot of adjustments to be made once married, fusion of culture, choices, likes and dislikes makes marriage a bit difficult at first. People marry someone from same background to level those differences and not necessarily because of negative reasons.

They are not abuser madam.. they are simply looking for ladies that are still decent unlike the ones in the city that have been overused by yahooboys and olosho work, ashawo work and others. They want ladies that will be obedient to their dick only unlike the community properties
