Did Peter Obi Attend Major Christian Events Before The 2023 Election Season? by naptu2: 5:54am On Dec 06, 2022
Is it true that Peter Obi never attended major Christian events before the 2023 election campaign season?

Some people have claimed that Peter Obi never attended any major Christian event like gospel concerts, crusades and revivals before the 2023 election campaign season and that he is only attending these events now because he wants votes in the election. Is this true?

Of course it's not true and it's very easy to prove that it's not true. I have personally seen him at many such events (with my own eyes) very many times (even before he became a governor) and in this thread I will provide lots of evidence to show that this claim is totally false.

The Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki (CCDM) holds an annual concert called Unusual Praise. Peter Obi has attended virtually every edition of this event since 2015. I'm going to post pictures, videos and posts that show that Peter Obi is a regular at this event. Last year they they held a concert outside Lagos for the first time and Peter Obi attended Unusual Praise Onitsha 2021.

Some have even claimed that Peter Obi never attended any Pentecostal event until he became a candidate, so I shall post evidence that Peter Obi attended the Lord's Chosen event in 2017 and The African Praise Experience of the House on The Rock in 2018.

Unusual Praise 2022 will hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square this Friday and Peter Obi will most likely be there (as usual). This is what he has always done, so why should he stop now because he has become a presidential candidate?

Some people said that Peter Obi was not invited to The Experience and my question is, does he need to be specially invited before he can attend? Was every single person at the event specially invited?

Adefarasin hosts African Praise Experience in Lagos

Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the Senior Pastor at the House on The Rock at the weekend, hosted another successful edition of African Praise Experience.

The massive turnout of many worshippers at the concert is a testament to the huge followership Adefarasin commands with his annual concert in Nigeria, irrespective of the different Christian denominations.

Friday was a day many in the city of Lagos will not forget in a hurry as the highly anticipated T.A.P.E (The African Praise Experience) concert serenaded many with sounds and ethnic rhythms. The African Praise Experience is an annual music concert headlined by a joyful assemblage of people through music, dance and praises, with the combination of word, worship and wonders as indigenous gospel acts lit up the African Praise Experience.

The night started early as worshippers trooped in their numbers to the Rock Cathedral grounds, Lekki to secure seats. The programme started with prayers for the smooth flow of the evening and also for the nation.

There were performances by top gospel acts like Sammie Okposo, Onos, Frank Edwards, Chioma Jesus, Midnight Crew, Ada, Eben, Bukola and the Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir (LMGC).

Convener of T.A.P.E and the Metropolitan Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, briefly shared on ‘The Miracle on the Blind Side’ where he shared about the blessings of God that come when it is least expected.

He admonished congregants to fight for the joy in God and to live exemplary lives.

Prayers were also led for the country, its leadership and for peace in certain regions of the country.

Special guests in attendance included representative of the Lagos State governor, Mrs. Oyinda Ogunsanwo; former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Peter Obi; former Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje and his wife; MD/CEO of Fidelity Bank, Nnamdi Okonkwo and wife; among many others.

The programme also featured energetic segment, FEARLESS in Concert, headlined by the Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme crew; with award-winning American singer, Travis Greene also performing. The ‘Agidigba’ crooner was in his elements as he ministered two brand new songs off his forthcoming album.

Obi, Amaechi, Zinox Founder, Others Grace Unusual Praise 2019

* 251 young entrepreneurs receive N40m grant

Peter Uzoho and Sunday Ehigiator

Eminent political and business leaders, including the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi; Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi; Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zinox Technologies, Mr. Leo Stan Eke, among others, participated in the ninth edition of Unusual Praise, an annual special thanksgiving ceremony of the Catholic Arch-Diocese of Lagos.

This is coming as young entrepreneurs numbering 251 were at the event given seed funds ranging from N1 million; N500, 000; N250, 000; N150, 000, to N100, 000, and totalling N40 million, to help them grow their businesses, improve their economic status and fend for themselves and their families.

The programme tagged: ‘’Declare the Glory of the Lord among the Nations,’’ as stated in 1 Chronicles 16:24, was held at the weekend at the Periwinkle Estate, Lekki, Victoria Island, Lagos, and had famous gospel singers performing and thrilling participants with their soulful songs of praise.

Some of the gospel artistes who performed at the non-denominational event were Nathaniel Bassey, Jude Nnam, Panam Perci Paul, Big Bolaji, Chinyere Udoma, Osinachi Nwachukwu, BJ Sax, Chioma Jesus, amongst others.

The all-night programme, which is organised every year by the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki, Lagos, was aimed at gathering people together to thank God in a special way through praise worship led by selected gospel singers.

Speaking to THISDAY at the event, Obi described the event as exceptional, praying that his fellow political leaders would become more accountable to the people.

He said: “I have always been attending Unusual Praise from its inception. This event has continued to improve every year by the grace of God. I really commend all the organisers and supporters alike for sustaining this event and improving it this far.

“This year is exceptional because we now have successful entrepreneurs supporting other people to lift their lives and make it better.

“And of cause, we would continue to pray that God should touch the leaders in Nigeria. Let him touch their hearts to use public funds for the purpose they are supposed to use it for.’’

The Parish Priest, Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Monsignor Paschal Nwaezeapu, who gave more insight into the programme, said it was also aimed at evangelising, aside praising God.

According to him, “any church that does not evangelise is not a living church, and is not fulfilling what God has instructed us to do. Yes, we are here to praise God, but the ultimate aim is to win souls for God, and we are optimistic that God would manifest himself here tonight.”

Also, the Chairman of Unusual Entrepreneurs Committee and President of Transcorp Hotel, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, explained that the church’s decision to empower the young entrepreneurs was a way of giving back to the society.

Ozigbo added: “The essence is to be able to empower men and women of the church economically as they are also filled spiritually. We believe that with this combination, they would have more reason to believe and trust in God.

“But beyond that, they are able to fend for themselves, and those around them. We want them to run successful businesses, hence we matched them with mentors; people who have been so well established in what they do. So basically, they handhold them, watch them all through the journey, and we have seen a lot of testimonies already’’.

The shame Agbado merchants are showing cannot ever be replicated in this country.

An all time low is the shameless lies, insincerity and justifying gross ineptitude of their presidential candidate.

A good Christian is always one. Bring on the lies, light will dispel the light.

No wonder, Mathew 5... Let your light so shine before men, that they will see your good work and glorify your father in You.

Obi is not a class to APC and the lies, he is coming to bring deliverance to them
