When it comes to point and shoot, the xr gets better images, but if your going for versatility or camera features like ultra wide and stuff, it's s10.
Point and shoot is better on the XR, gives a more vivid image.
Further more, when it comes to selfie, the s10 is pure garbage. XR is better.
I do not like the XR personally, it's a garbage phone.
But has great Internals with ugly externals, if you don't mind display or build quality, and you want to try out ios, Xr is a perfect start.
S10 is fair, but the internal specs is not better than the XR (performance and battery majorly), they both have great cameras, but the selfie camera gives the xr edge.

The s10 will start heating up way faster than the XR while running a high gpu game. The 'very old' 7 plus can still run most games decently even today.
