Yes, The US/EU are getting Russian gas, the thing is Russia isn't making profit from the US/EU buying from third channels. Russia sells to India and China at cheaper rates while the US/EU want from India/China etc. Third channels are making the profit that should accrue to Russia.

Russia needs to sell their gas, they are buoyant enough to stop total sell of Gas, Russian oil/gas accounts for like 54% of their export, and they are currently facing sanctions.
