The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally in Minna, capital of Niger State, was yesterday cut short to prevent stampede.

When the candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, arrived at the rally, the crowd was much and when it was time for him to speak, the crowd began pressing to meet him in excitement.

The masters of ceremony repeatedly asked the crowd to move back to avoid the podium from collapsing, but the crowd who pressed on continued as they shouted: “we want Tinubu.”

Holding the hands of the Governorship candidate, Umar Bago, and Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, who is contesting for the Niger North Senatorial seat, Tinubu urged the people to support APC candidates in the state.

He was prevented from speaking further as the crowd continued to surge, despite the warning from the MC. Tinubu had to leave the venue 18 minutes after his arrival.

Tinubu truly left the venue due to overwhelming crowd. The man they claimed was rushed to hospital can be seen in the video below inaugurating the campaign office and visiting the emir after leaving the trade fair complex (campaign venue).
