For this to happen it means that the residents of that area are used to crossing the railroad with their cars. Something that is illegal and risky.

Bandits killed innocent Nigerians from the same train. Now it is the turn of the train to continue from where the Bandits stopped?

What is the circumstances that led to this for goodness sake? Was the late lady trying to beat the rail crossing or the train didn't reduced it approach speed as it nears the crossing.

That's not true. Even in advanced countries, vehicles cross railroads. Blame the bad leadership which transcends to the ordinary people at work. Each crossing is supposed to have at least, 1 staff manning it daily, who would signal to motorists and passers-by with red flags and block their paths Someone is just being paid for not doing his job. Here in Lagos, one young man was almost crushed by train in front of Arena Military Shopping Complex at Oshodi recently. There was another incident at Ikeja Along, inwards Anifowoshe Street which nearly crushed a passers-by to death sometime ago. Those collecting money for parking at the entrance of the Arena held a car who didn't want to pay, which caused an unusual queue that extended to the main road. People apparently shouted aloud before these guys could clear the road. The moment the railway was cleared, the train sped past.

Usually, every train had its movement schedule which their staff would work with. They'd abandon their duty post for no just cause and when this happens, people would be crushed to death.

RIP young lady. You're simply a victim of bad leadership and government in our society. What do you expect of a government where an account general is walking freely after stealing over 100bn naira. We will get it right someday and that's why we always say, vote wisely. Don't vote someome who would either snub you as soon as he takes office or sends proxies to attend to you. We are seeing their body language already as people represent them in major events. They have refused to also attend some. In a reasonable country, those who are supposed to be on duty but refused to report would be made to pay the price.
