By the time operation is functional, the traffic in Lekki and its environs will triple that of Apapa. More needs to be done about basic infrastructure along that axis. What do I know sef, Apapa was in state of destruction as we speak despite the huge amount of money generated in that place.

Thanks very much for sharing. Such a worthwhile project.

A few questions though, mostly for clarification;

1. What routes will the rail line traverse? A route(s) map could have helped with understanding

2. Tying part of this to the yet-to-be-awarded coastal rail network project introduces uncertainty. Not sure you can make an investment decision without knowing how that other project will pan out. I guess the dependency as per timing of construction will be factored in. Could take a while yet

3. How will it link to the Western and Northern markets? Best is through the Lagos-Ibadan-Abuja-Kano rail line. Is that the plan and if yes, will be good to see the route to that connection. Is it part of the $800mln project cost?

4. I would have expected that goods and containers' evacuation strategy would have been part of the Lekki Deep Sea Port design concept and not left as a new and separate project after commissioning. I stand to be corrected here

All in all, very good development. Just needs some clarification to fully appreciate all dimensions. Thanks once again.

How did he ensure that it is now a reality?

You think the Chinese just woke up and started building LFTZ? Instead of wasting your time researching how to be negative against Tinubu, use your time for something productive and positive. That way, there won’t be a need to be asking senseless questions all over Nairaland. Below is how the LFTZ started.

Now that you know, can you tell us the current situation of the Onitsha monorail that was initiated by Peter Obi?

Peter Obi signed an MoU to build a monorail in Onitsha in 2010, 12 years after, there's nothing to show, he scammed the people of Anambra and got away with it. When he loses by February, I hope we won't see him hiding himself anywhere in Lagos, otherwise, we would chase him back to Agulu barefooted to go live with his unknown gunmen.

Olodo, school drop out who does not even know his own community. If you are asked your father's village or community, you can only reply "my papa tell me say". A foreigner to Lagos State like you, claiming Lagos as your personal property. If you are asked if you pay tax, without doubt, you have never and will never. You do not know what a "state if origin" is, as you obviously do not know yours.

Like parasites, your likes live off crumbs given to you by your slave masters, without seeing the impoverishment set before you.

Those who sell gala are proud to do so, as they earn their honest living, through which they build houses, own fantastic properties, that you end up renting. That's the life, far ahead of those who seat at motor parks or street corners, drinking paraga and smoking hemp, with no visible source of livelihood. Gala sellers know their states of origin and are very proud of them. You no know your own.

Rather than talk on the topic, you left it to throw jibes at people, whose shoes laces you are not able to tie.

Muntula who has not gone beyond his one room apartment in Shibiri or Agege, who cannot understand that the free trade zone is established to serve the entire country. An ode, who does not know what that area is all about, thinking that it is a decorative art designed to show off, rather than a place meant for international trade. Check your pocket now, no SHISHI, except you have been given your pocket money.

The same gala and coke people have sorrounded you completely. Your clothes, tv, bed, roof over your head, phone in your hand, WC, shoes, fan blowing your rabbit head, are all sold by them. Jealousy in your head will never let your likes use their heads well.

Pls can you tell me, what has peter obi got to do with the questions I asked you?

All this would be a waste of time and resources when ports in SS anf SE eventually opens up.

When new cities emerge in this axis people would relocate back.

Lagos should stop wasting it's money and rather invest in rural development, energy a planned city and a business friendly environment.

The challenge with traffic also borders on the mentality of the people. Asians prefer to drive smaller cars for easy parking. The purchase cars with less fuel consumption. Nigerians prefer big cars and more fuel consuming cars as they show off.

The BRT lanes were specifically designed to lessen the use of private cars and eventually lessen traffic, but it has not been working. The rail projects are designed also to make people keep their cars at home and lessen traffic, but Nigerians may not.

In the 70s, Lagos had the odd and even number car days. Those driving into Lagos Island were expected to comply. What did they do? They started purchasing two cars, to enable them drive into Lagos all the days.

We have a long way to go with traffic management.

Lekki and its environs are presently heavy construction areas. Government has to checkmate the activities of policemen, who extort people and delay free flow of traffic. Government has to checkmate the activities of agberos and danfo drivers, who pick and drop. Government has to checkmate the activities of Lastma/VIO officials who add to the traffic situation, all for decongestion. Broken down vehicles must be removed in good time.

Lastly, if the rail line works, citizens should be encouraged to use rail instead of their cars. Also the service must be very efficient.

So what is making Ømø Oniles issue certificate of ownership to them for purchased land? Can it be laziness and extreme poverty, created by ThiefNuibu’s looting of the past 24 years instead of employing them to provide water for every building

Meanwhile any idea what made them issue certificate of indigeneship to the Iragbiji man from Benin Republic who has no primary nor secondary school certificate?

123456789O:
The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has said the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu was homeschooled and did not attend primary and secondary school because he was too brilliant.

He also described the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as a carpetbagger, who has no political influence beyond the South East where he (Obi) hails from.

Keyamo, who is also Minister of State, Labour and Employment, said this during an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday, warning Obi’s followers that ”he would lead them to nowhere” in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.

When asked why Tinubu did not file his primary and secondary school certificates with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC while submitting the presidential nomination form, he said that the former Lagos State governor was homeschooled up to secondary school level because he was too brilliant.

“He must have burnt his midnight candle, ” he said.

There has been controversy over the true identity of Tinubu, his age and educational qualifications.

Keyamo also said Obi and the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party are only relevant in the campaign for bringing “colours” and raising “consciousness among the electorate.”

He said, “They (Peter Obi and Kwankwaso) brought colour into the campaign. That, I must admit. And I praise what they are doing. They have raised some consciousness among the electorate. But like I said in another programme, outside the South East, Peter Obi is a carpetbagger.

“I also suspect he may be a Trojan horse for Atiku Abubakar, and so we want to warn his supporters that he may be leading them to nowhere.”

Keyamo further described the former vice president and PDP presidential candidate as “the most disloyal vice president” Nigeria has ever had.

He said Atiku lost his boss’ trust and was never given presidential powers during the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo-led administration.

Keyamo said, “I’ve made this argument before. I’ve seen one of the aides of Atiku, saying, ‘the vice president is so powerful under section 153, that he’s the chairman of the of economic council.’ They don’t even know how government functions. I’m a member of the cabinet.

“If you look at Section 153 of the National Economic Council, and then you go to the third schedule, Section 19 says that the recommendations of the National Economic Council are brought to the President. It’s just an advisory body. So, they have no power to take final decisions.

“It is only Yemi Osinbajo, the good Yemi Osinbajo, that has acted as President. So, I can confidently say Osinbajo has even more experience than Atiku Abubakar.

“Atiku Abubakar was not given powers for one minute. He was distrusted by his boss, he was the most belligerent, the most disloyal vice president we have ever had.”

All these agitators are channeling their energy at the wrong direction, the real object of these agitations should be all these government representatives to compel them to change the constitution to allow peaceful dissolution by lynching or arson, they are the real problem of this country but I see the constitution amended within 3 to five years because no government would withstand the heat of revolution that will hit that country soon

Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.

Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.

Last year, Nigeria overtook India as the country with the largest number of people living in extreme poverty, thereby becoming the world capital of poverty, according to the Brookings Institute. This year, the number has risen to 91.6 million from 87 million in June 2018. Every minute, six Nigerians enter the group of extremely poor people, according to the World Poverty Clock.
