You do not need God to get things.

Serving God is not a means to acquire things..

When you have the Right understanding about the Subject matter, your relationship with God will be like Father to son

This is ridiculous! So, he claims it is beneath him to ask his highly-placed connection in government for a favor regarding an NYSC posting; he ought to capitalize and ask instead for maybe an oil well. My question is then this, isn't this analogy pretty much about using God as a means to an end which He spent all that time ranting against? What is an oil well if not an end? undecided

Anywho, OP, go to Jesus Christ Himself so He can teach you of Himself. He said He is the only teacher to all those who belong to the Kingdom of God- Matthew 23 vs 8 - 10. So when you set others are teachers over yourself, you reject Jesus Christ, and as such set yourself against Him and His Kingdom. undecided

You didn't get this well, He was specifically talking about Relationships as the major thing first before any other things.

When there is solid relationship, others things are Simple.

That is why Romans 8:32
[32]He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

And also said Mark 11:24
[24]Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

How will you pray to the One who you don't Know. You need to understand the Character of God. From the Relationship you Know according to James 1 vs 5 that God gives to All Men liberally.

He is saying The Most important thing is to Know God. The Relationship First. And you can only Know God In Christ.

Again, You need a teacher to Know the Word of God. Jesus set the Apostles to teach others; the Apostles themselves were taught by Jesus.
Even Jesus gave gifts to Men for the Perfection of the saints, edification of the body of Christ and for the work of Ministry.

You can not have accurate or precise knowledge of God, or the word of God Outside the Men He has placed on you.
