In Islam, we believe only God Almighty Allah knows what happens next. From my experiences with all these pastors' yearly prophecies, that's really true. But for once at least he prophesied good things and I pray God say Ameen to it.

Please don't confuse the gullible ones with a wrong take. Prophecy (the thing predicted to happen) is a noun. Prophesy (someone like Adeboye saying God told him that thing will happen) is the verb. All these claims from Adeboye are intended to be prophecies - except they're not. You can't come up with an overbroad, unmanageable claim and call it a Prophecy. When he's doing this, he should be prophesying - except again he's not. He's just launched out some random thoughts (you could call them religious red meat) to his lazy, uncritical nd question-averse followers.

But here, the topic said "Adeboye Prophesied" meaning that it's not a prediction, but a certainty of what God told him will happen in vision.

Even though what he said all seems like a calculated prediction.

It's better we say that they Prophecy (predict), instead of saying they Prophesy (certainty).

Because if the prophesy fails to come to past, it would mean that God lied to them in vision? God do not lie.

Anybody can fail in prediction, so it's normal.

Now, that's how prophesies sounds.

Prophecy is a gift and not all pastors are prophets but because members of a church want their leader to give them prophecy at the beginning of the year, the pastors have to come up with something. This is to satisfy their members desire for it.
It's a wicked and crooked generation that have abandoned their primary duty of worshipping God in spirit and truth that always seek for signs and miracles, prophecies etc
