IDF activity in the Gaza Strip;
The forces destroyed launchers from which shots were fired into the territory of the country and eliminated terrorists who tried to plant explosive charges near the fighters

The forces continue to operate in the Gaza Strip, with the assistance of the sea arm fighters and with the cooperation of the Air Force that attack and destroy terrorist infrastructures and means of warfare in the various areas.

In an activity in the northern Gaza Strip, forces from the battle team of the Yiftach Brigade identified terrorists who were operating near them and tried to plant explosive charges in the area. The fighters responded by shooting and the brigade's fire complex directed Air Force aircraft that attacked and killed the terrorists.

As part of another activity of the brigade in the north of the Gaza Strip, the brigade's observation company identified a terrorist squad moving towards an anti-tank launcher inside a military building adjacent to the forces, at the same time as a number of enemy observers were identified in the area.
The complex of directed fire from combat helicopters of the Air Force that eliminated the anti-tank squad and destroyed the buildings in which the enemy observers were operating.

During an activity by the fighters of the 5th Brigade's combat team in the northern Gaza Strip, the forces found a number of launchers from which a shot was fired into the territory of the country.
An engineering force of the brigade destroyed the launchers.

In the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, the fighters of the 7th Brigade Combat Team raided a military compound in the area, where they located and destroyed six missile launchers with rockets ready for launch.
In addition, the fighters located an underground shaft and explosive devices in the area.
During the operation, the forces identified two armed men who threatened the forces and directed an Air Force aircraft that eliminated the terrorists.

Reports from Yemen that the Houthis plan to close all three major waterways in the Middle East.

According to reports, the Houthis are considering implementing a plan they call the "Al-Aqsa Triangle" by closing the three main waterways of the Middle East: the Strait of Bab al-Mandab (already closed), the Strait of Hormuz (missile-launched) and the Suez Canal (actually closed) .

This will stop the oil and gas exports of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Emirates to the world.

A summary of the IDF spokesman's statement:

▪️ As part of the fighting in Khan Yunis, we located a tunnel where abductees were held in the past. The fighters located the entrance to the tunnel based on accurate intelligence found in the house of a Hamas terrorist in Khan Yunis.

▪️ The fighters entered the tunnel where they encountered the terrorists in front of them, and waged a battle in the end of which the terrorists were eliminated. The tunnel is riddled with charges and side doors designed to protect the terrorists and prevent the progress of our abductors.

▪️ After about a kilometer of walking in a tunnel about 20 meters deep underground, the fighters found a central space that, according to the testimonies of abductees who returned from Gaza, we understand that is where they stayed most of the time. In this space we found findings that indicate the stay of abductees, including paintings drawn by the 5-year-old girl Amelia Aloni along with other abductees.

▪️ Further down the tunnel we located 5 narrow confinement cells, each with a toilet and a mattress and they are closed with bars.

▪️ According to evidence we have, about 20 abductees were held in this tunnel at different times, in difficult conditions without daylight, in dense air, little oxygen and terrible humidity that makes breathing difficult. Some of them were released about 50 days ago and some are still being held in Gaza and may even be in more difficult conditions, among them very old people who need medicine and help.

▪️ Yesterday, before we destroyed the tunnel, we documented the place and brought in journalists from the international media to show the world a testimony that must not be forgotten: Hamas committed and continues to commit crimes against humanity, holding innocent civilians, children, women, men, some of them sick.

NATO has warned that the West should step up preparations for the unexpected,including a war with Russia, as Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine is nearing the two-year mark amid worries over possible political fatigue among some of Kyiv's Western allies.
