so you, an African, a Nigerian - who does not know the name of his own great grandfather or kinsmen - is having sleepless nights thinking of how to convince a Jewish person of the messiahship of another Jewish man who you have never seen.

Physically beat him/her into submission. The white man did it to akatas’ forefathers. The same treatment was meted here. See where we are four plus centuries down the line.

Of course he did.

He prayed to the father to lift the cup
... just before he was arrested!

But alas his father forsook him as he said on the cross!

■So, because He asked His father to have a cup removed IF it He wills it means He asked for help? undecided
■His Father forsook Him as He, the Father, was meant to given that His death was meant as a curse — God forsakes all those who are cursed by Him —on Him means He was helpless on the cross? undecided

Yes, he was even sweaty and afraid when asking for help!

The fact remains that Jesus said his God forsook him on the cross!
Wasn't he helpless on the cross? In fact, throughout his life he was helpless.

1.The details of the prayer He said are found in John 17 and there is no indication He asked for help. As you said, earlier. He asked that a cup be removed, but how that translates to him pleading for help is beyond me. undecided

2. Yes, God forsook Him, and rightly so, since cursed/forsaken(by God) is any man who dies hangs on a tree to die - Deuteronomy 21 vs 23. undecided

3. Helpless for what reason? How could He have been helpless when He voluntarily laid down His life and picked it back up 3 days later - John 10 vs 14 - 18 undecided

No be only for John Jesus prayed na! You forget say John na sensationalism master! He was the one who perfected the narrative of Jesus becoming God. Check the prayer in Matthew where he put his head on the floor!

And how can Jesus who is one with God be forsook by God?

Voluntarily? If so he won't have prayed that prayer!

1. I know this but if you put all the prayers together — with the details in John 17 being the most — there is no entry that indicates Jesus Christ in fact asked the Father for Help. Now, of course, I am aware that popular doctrine from the Churchian pulpits has undecided it that Jesus Christ asked for help, but these doctrines have no connection to any of that in fact written in scripture. There are many other reasons why Jesus Christ would put His help on the floor. undecided

2. Simple! Because the same Jesus Christ also told you that He is not God the Father though He is born of some of the same essences that is God the Father. He made it abundantly clear in His teachings. He proclaimed openly that He does the Will of the Father, and as such is subject to the Father and His, the Father's, Will. undecided

3. What other term would you use for what is recorded in John 10 vs 14 - 18? undecided

Why do I need to put them together? Matthew wrote his book independently without knowing John would later write his. Some say Mark and Luke copied one another!
The fact remains Jesus was helpless. He put his head on the floor and prayed sweating!

Na who born Jesus of the same essence as the father? Of what reproduction is Jesus from the father, sexual or assexual? Which verse points to this from Jesus?

I don tell you say John came to make Jesus totally God as different from the three other Gospels!

Most Prophets were literally shepherds and symbolically too! Jesus ain't any different!

1. Well, if all 4 accounts are to be taken into consideration then the commonsense thing to do would be to put them together in order to figure out of there is any evidence to be found of what you claim. You may think one copied the other but it is only right to consider each individual independent of the other to be sure your conclusion is of truth. undecided

2. Well, let's examine the claim, shall we? undecided

A. Matthew has no record of Jesus Christ crying out for help.
36 Then Jesus went with his followers to a place called Gethsemane. He said to them, “Sit here while I go there and pray.”
37 He told Peter and the two sons of Zebedee to come with him. Then he began to be very sad and troubled.
38 Jesus said to Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, “My heart is so heavy with grief, I feel as if I am dying. Wait here and stay awake with me.”
39 Then Jesus went on a little farther away from them. He fell to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, don’t make me drink from this cup. But do what you want, not what I want.”
40 Then he went back to his followers and found them sleeping. He said to Peter, “Could you men not stay awake with me for one hour?
41 Stay awake and pray for strength against temptation. Your spirit wants to do what is right, but your body is weak.”
42 Then Jesus went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if I must do this and it is not possible for me to escape it, then I pray that what you want will be done.”
43 Then he went back to the followers. Again he found them sleeping. They could not stay awake.
44 So he left them and went away one more time and prayed. This third time he prayed, he said the same thing.
45 Then Jesus went back to the followers and said, “Are you still sleeping and resting? The time has come for the Son of Man to be handed over to the control of sinful men.
46 Stand up! We must go. Here comes the one who will hand me over.” - Matthew 26 vs 36 - 46
B. Mark doesn't record Jesus Christ asking the Father for help either.
35 Jesus went on a little farther away from them, fell to the ground, and prayed. He asked that, if possible, he would not have this time of suffering.
36 He said, “ Abba, Father! You can do all things. Don’t make me drink from this cup. But do what you want, not what I want.”
37 Then he went back to his followers and found them sleeping. He said to Peter, “Simon, why are you sleeping? Could you not stay awake with me for one hour?
38 Stay awake and pray for strength against temptation. Your spirit wants to do what is right, but your body is weak.”
39 Again Jesus went away and prayed the same thing.
40 Then he went back to the followers and again found them sleeping. They could not stay awake. They did not know what they should say to him.
41 After Jesus prayed a third time, he went back to his followers. He said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? That’s enough! The time has come for the Son of Man to be handed over to the control of sinful men.
42 Stand up! We must go. Here comes the man who is handing me over to them.” - Mark 14 vs 35 - 42
C. Here Luke also makes no mention of Jesus Christ asking the Father for help.
39-40 Jesus left the city and went to the Mount of Olives. His followers went with him. (He went there often.) He said to his followers, “Pray for strength against temptation.”
41 Then Jesus went about 50 steps away from them. He knelt down and prayed,
42 “Father, if you are willing, please don’t make me drink from this cup.[e] But do what you want, not what I want.”
43 Then an angel from heaven came to help him.
44 Jesus was full of pain; he struggled hard in prayer. Sweat dripped from his face like drops of blood falling to the ground.
45 When he finished praying, he went to his followers. He found them asleep, worn out from their grieving.
46 Jesus said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray for strength against temptation.” - Luke 22 vs 39 - 46
D. John 17, as we already know, makes no mention of Jesus Christ asking the Father for help either.

Jesus Christ had to drink from the same cup of poison that God made all of Israel to drink from — His curse and suffering - Psalm 75 vs 8 & Isaiah 51 vs 17 - 22 & Jeremiah 25 vs 15 - 18. Ezekiel 23 vs 31 - 34 describes the excruciating experience of drinking from the Lord's cup of poison. The suffering Jesus Christ is written to have experienced came directly from God Himself. So, I think we are safe to conclude that your "fact" is a made-up one, a lie not based on that written in any of the Gospels. undecided

3. Jesus Christ Himself said that He is. This information is recorded in the 4 Gospels. Some of the information you seek can be found at the following link https://www.nairaland.com/7110397/gospel-minddump#112519360

4. So you are of the mind that the only Gospel writer who wrote of His being of God is John. I am afraid that ain't close to true at all. As even Matthew, Luke presents Him in much the same light. undecided

5. Well, they were until God decided that no more were men to serve as shepherds over His flock in Ezekiel 34 vs 1 - 12. Even Jeremiah, and Isaiah, repeated this very proclamation from God. undecided

That's the assignment Jesus gave us and there's no Jew as long as he or she believes in the Hebrew-Aramaic scriptures (Old Testament) we have what it takes to convince him easier than misinformed churchgoers claiming Christians.

She does not believe in Jesus. Her view is is the same general view of all Jewish believers that Jesus is one of the prophets but not a messiah. Can one carry on with this believe and be a part of God's kingdom? The answer is an obvious No.

Romans 10:9 KJV
that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

After going through your profile i discovered you're one of those people claiming Christian and it's certain that you can't do such a job neither will you allow me work with you since you and i aren't on the same page.
But if you want to learn just direct her to this section of Nairaland tell her a Nigerian will like to know more about Jesus from her.

You will see how easy it is for us to convince a Jew who already believe that Jesus was sent by the God of her ancestors, Yes! The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob whose words are recorded in the Hebrew-Aramaic Scripture (Old Testament)
