Which plane flights are you taking about?

There were of thousands of Nigerians willing to leave early in the conflict and they were abandoned, newspaper reports are on page 1 and you can google for more.

Please show us evidence of these Many plane and ship evacuation that was "brought to pick them" in Libya besides the first few flights that picked Bash Ali and co.

Do you know how many Nigerians are in Libya? Some countries from far off continents evacuated tens of thousands, we evacuated tops 3k and you are saying "they should go and die jor" ?

Please show us.

this is a tragedy and the nigerian govt must act now before all of those people are murdered by those rebel gangs - the lady in the video clip has no idea what she is up against - the UN will never lift a finger to help any african person - what she doesnt understand is that the UN are the same people who gave the go ahead to NATO to go in and drop bombs on innocent men women and children in libya, they dont want africans in europe and they certainly wont be lifting a finger to help the ones stranded in libya to cross into europe. They're only interest is in securing libya's oil reserves for america, britain and france's oil companies  - they couldnt give a sh.it if all the africans in that country are wiped out by these rebels, after all this ethnic cleansing of blacks has beeen going on since march when the rebels took over benghazi but no western media reported it even though they knew about it.  The western powers do not respect africa or africans and this is why they have totally ignored the pleadings from the AU to resolve this war peacefully.

The only way out for these nigerians is to keep on appealing to the nigerian govt to evacuate them and those of us out here need to shame the nigerian govt into moving into action as fast as possible -if not these people will die like chickens at the hands of these rebels.  Remember Rwanda ?  how come the UN didnt intervene then  ? america was fully briefed of the situation on the ground there and they knew that the hutus were rounding people up and cutting them up with machetes but they did absolutely nothing, the same thing will happen here if the nigerian govt continues to do nothing.

There is no where in the world where africans/blacks are treated with respect - this war in libya should now serve as a warning to all black people all over the world that we are not safe - especially where we are in the minority amongst europeans or arabs - if there is to be a breakdown in law and order in europe or america, blacks will become targets of racially motivated attacks just like in libya because europeans also nurse the same feelings of hatred towards blacks that arabs do, the only thing restraining them here in the western world is law and order.

@ Builder,
Thank you for your last post. I keep on saying that the reason why Africans are suffering everywhere is because they have been placed where they are by their fellow wicked black men but people are quick to point finger on the white man. If we are fine in Africa, will anybody think of going abroad? To get job in Nigeria, preference is given to foreigners by a black boss. When a black man is in thesame position with a white man in Nigeria, the white man is paid far more than the black man, but if a black man is in thesame position with a white man in a white mans country, they are paid thesame amount.
Why do we treat the white men like a god? That is the basis of the problem. People run abroad to face racism and lack of human respect because their country doesn't have anything better to offer them. Africans need to come together and think of how to make their life better rather than looking up to Europe/America/China for solution because that is the only way we can get respect from other race.
Have you notice that Haiti, the only solely black country in America is as poor as a typical African country and they got their independence from France as far back as 1804, just 28yrs younger than the United State(1776) and we can see the difference in both countries

the problem with you is that you do not analyse problems from a world perspective - you look at things from a very narrow perspective and as a result you present a distorted picture with a lot of missing pieces - you can not analyse nigeria's problems accurately unless you look back in history because nigeria's past has a lot to do with why nigeria is in its present predicament.

nigeria is not a sovereign nation - it is still controlled externally by britain and america - economically via the imf and the international oil companies.

politically -nigeria does not have an independent leader that makes decisions that benefit its citizens, instead nigeria's leaders make decisions that beneift western oil interests.

militarily - nigeria relies heavily on US and british military aid to keep its army operational

economically - nigeria's economic policy is dictated from washington and london and its economy has been restructured to suit the dictates of the international financial institutions -

all of the above leads to - MASS POVERTY, MASS UNEMPLOYMENT AND A COMPLETE COLLAPSE IN THE LIVING STANDARDS OF THE AVERAGE NIGERIAN.

with all of the above in play nigerians are nothing more than glorified slaves in their own land - this has been done DELIBERATELY TO KEEP NIGERIA IN A STATE OF PERMANENT ECONOMIC BACKWARDNESS.

it has all been made possible by the west's total control over the nigerian ruling class and the removal of any group of nigerians who might pose a threat to this plan - thats why no progressive nigerian has ever been allowed to lead nigeria - from all of the above factors it is clear to anyone with common sense that the west has and continues to work actively to keep nigeria in a permanent position of economic and political subservience.

this is the reason why nigerians leave the country - if there are no jobs, no prospects and no hope in nigeria the end result will be mass migration.

nigerians place the white man above their own people because the majority of nigerians have no political or historical understanding of how the world works - many do not understand anything about racism or imperialism, this ignorance leads many nigerians to see the white man as their friend, notice that blacks in the west have a completely different understanding of the world because they have lived at close proximity with whites for a longer period and they understand how white people's minds work.

the nigerian educational system does not help as it brainwashes nigerians to look up to and respect whites and at the same time look down on their own. christianity teaches the nigerian to worship a white god and look upon his own african gods as primitive and heathen - what you get at the end of this is an african who has been educated to feel inferior to a white person -  that is why a white man in nigeria can come into nigeria and get a better job and live in better accomodation than a nigerian - no nigerian immigrant can dream of competing for the same job as an indigenous white person and expect to be paid the same amount of money - the whole idea about western recruitment of immigrants is that they are a source of cheap labour.

finally Haiti is the only black nation in the world to have defeated three imperial armies - france, great britain and spain.  they were also the only black nation that succceeded in freeing itself from enslavement.

the reason that haiti is poor is because after it sucessfully fought and defeated its former slavemasters  -  france, america and the imperial powers of europe  ganged up on them and imposed a 60 year trade embargoe on them which caused their economy to collapse, this was to be their punishment for having the guts to free themselves from slavery.

go and read up on the haitian general Toussaint L'ouverture and Dessalines who were both black african slaves who led the defeat against the imperial powers.

in addition haiti was forced to  pay france compensation for their loss of slaves and territory - all of these economic burdens crippled and destroyed Haiti.  as if that wasnt punishment enough haiti was invaded and occupied by the united states in 1915 for 20 years, its economy was hijacked and american sponsored dicators were then imposed on the people of that country who systematically looted the country before absconding to live in opulence in france (all with the tacit approval of france).

@2good:
I dont think you really live in today's Nigeria and if you do and still think this way then i can only pity you. Yes,some Nigerians still look up to Oyibos as demi gods but beleive you me,there are lots and lots and lots of Nigerians who dont send white folks AT ALL. You mentioned that Nigerian bosses favour white staff or something like that? Listen ,if a foreign investor sets up shop in Nigeria,he has the right to bring in as much oyibos as he wants and his Nigerian supervisor cant do nothing about it. This happens anywhere in the world. But Nigerian owned businesses? We have over 20 banks in Nigeria, with branches in many parts of Africa and the world. Now tell me how many Nigerian banks have white MDs,CEOs,Directors,Administrators etc? Nigerians, black Nigerian are even being sent to work as expartriates in Many other African countries were these banks have branches. How many white staff have Dangote,Adenuga or Otedola employed in their various companies? The only area where your points may be valid is if you are talking about deep offshore oil explorations, yes, its dominated by foreigners cos Nigerians have limited capacity in that field but that could change soon.
Listen bro, dont let your frustrations on Nigeria's slow pace of development cloud your sense of reasoning. We are all frustrated but lets give credit to Nigeria whenever its deserved and let's criticize constructively. Also, you mentioned Haiti's underdevelopment, you forgot to mention that Haiti also shares the same border with another black nation called Dominican republic which has prospered in tourism, explain that?

PS: The Nigerian govt. did undertake a massive evacuation exercise on Nigerians stuck in Libya. Many Nigerians refused to come home thinking that they would still make it to Europe in spite of the confilict. We are all architects of our own fate. I wish them luck tho'

You obviously don't understand what it means to be a poor migrant worker.

Legal migrants or not, it's not an excuse to kill them or abandon them, millions of illegal chinese, filipino and others travel all over the world to work, still they get evacuated in times of trouble, same happened in this conflict read up on it.

BTW, these people send millions of dollars home to their country every year. No one will leave their home country to go work in a strange land just on a whim. Stop beign stoooopid.

In 2010 these so called migrants you are making fun of contributed $10B that's Ten Billion dollars to our Nigerian economy. Nigeria was number 10 in the world on the remittance scale.

The rankings, as categorized in the Migration And Remittances Factbook 2011, are as follows:
India - $55 billion
China - $51 billion
Mexico - $22.6 billion
Philippines - $21.3 billion
France - $15.9 billion
Germany - $11.6 billion
Bangladesh $11.1 billion
Belgium - $10.4 billion

nothing could possibly be worse than an educated illiterate.

An educated illiterate lives in a cocoon of ignorance where he exists in fog of self importance and delusions of grandeur, the educated illiterate is a creature to behold as his limited "education" has misled him into beleiving that he has an understanding of the world he lives in when nothing could be further from the truth.

The only time the educated illiterate gets a wake up call is when he leaves the shores of nigeria and gets a kick up the backside, it suddenly dawns on him that all these years he has been in nigeria he has been like a deaf, dumb and blind man staggering around in the dark, only then does he realise that he has been cocooned from reality.

its at this point that he realises that his so called nigerian certificate is worth about as much as a used piece of toilet roll in the western world.

yes i do live in the uk and no i dont sweep subways neither do i wash toilets as i was born here and have two university degrees. I have nothing against people who do those jobs though because without those people our cities would be stinking cesspits just like the ones you live in over in nigeria.

Funnily enough the people who do those jobs earn far more than educated illiterates like yourself who live on less than $1 dollar a day, they also live far beyond the age of 45 which is the life expectancy for adult men in nigeria and they do not die from minor illnesses unlike the average nigerian.

In addition the average menial worker in the western world enjoys good healthcare, clean and sanitary accommodation, 24 hours of electricity, a secure environment and a reliable and affordable public transport system. Apart from your worthless piece of paper which you call a univeristy certificate but which i would rather call toilet roll you have absolutely nothing to crow about in nigeria.

Now i can see that my comments about you being an educatd illiterate really burned you - well tough - if you cant stand the heat stay out of the kitchen, there is no need to get defensive about university degrees when you were the same person who referred to those of us here in the west as as security guards, dishwashers and adult diaper changers, sadly your own condition is far worse than the lowest menial worker in the western world and therefore you are in no postion to sneer at anyone who is doing any of those jobs here.

I am not even going to try to educate you on the struggles of black people against institutionalised racism in the western world because you are too ignorant and it will be a waste of my time and your time, instead i will leave you to continue to wallow in that deep fog of ignorance which you seem to be inhabiting quite comfortably, i suspect that its even too late for someone with your level of deep seated ignorance to learn - as it is almost impossible to teach an old dog new tricks.

by the way i am the complete opposite of someone with an inferiority complex, i have no reason to have one as i see through the entire facade of western civilisation unlike you who would wish for nothing more than to get a visa to come here and probably do the same menial jobs you are pretending to turn you nose up at.

Hmmmm, thats exactly what happens when ur country of origin is just as usless as a used condom and this is exactly what happens when u have a president as Gej who as always is ever-willing to impress his imperialist masters. i just hope and pray the black folks stranded in libya find a way out and a way as quickly.

What folks need to know is that, during the years of Gadaffi this blacks folks had regular jobs either in the oil field or other aspects of the libyan booming economy

for more than a decade the booming Libyan economy has been a destination for legal and illegal migrants from Africa and even further afield in Bangladesh and China., so i dont really blame this nigerian folks for not coming back home cos they know coming back home serves them no hope or purpose, but its a shame they never read the script well that the rebels were gonna take hold of Libya
