Hon. Okey Igwe Moves To Rehabilitate Abused 6-Year old boy Whose Video went Viral on Social Media Yesterday

The PDP Deputy governorship candidate Barr. Okey Igwe, this afternoon paid an unscheduled visit to Okigwe Divisional Police Station following a video that went viral on social media of a six year old boy who is alleged to have been abused by his foster mother.

In the video, neighbours to the woman who lives in Okigwe, Imo state were seen calling on any body who could identify the parents of the child to come for his rescue before the boy will be killed by the woman, other children living within the neighbourhood also confessed in the video that the boy has been subjected to severe maltreatment and abuse by the woman to the point that she has threatened to blind him.

After having a closed door meeting with the DPO, Barr. Igwe met with the little boy and the abusive foster mother and promised to take immediate steps to track down the boy’s biological father to come and claim him out of police protective custody, He also pledged to bear the cost of rehabilitating the little boy and to ensure that he not only gets back to school but will take special interest in the boys welfare.
