The majority of oral health issues, including tooth decay and cavities, affect both adults and children.

Foods that stick to your teeth for a long time, frequent snacking or drinking, poor oral hygiene, inadequate fluoride intake, dry mouth, worn fillings, or dental appliances, among many other things, might increase your chance of developing cavities.

When oral problems emerge, it is always important to visit a dentist, but these DIY solutions are also effective (note that it’s best to see your dentist if symptoms persist) Look into natural cures for cavities and tooth decay.

1. Salt

Due to its antiseptic and antibacterial qualities, salt can also be utilized to cure cavities. It can lessen discomfort, draw out an infection, lessen inflammation, and stop the growth of bacteria in the mouth.

One teaspoon of salt should be dissolved in a glass of warm water. Concentrating on the damaged tooth, swish a mouthful of this fluid around in your mouth for one minute. Repeat this procedure three times each day until your symptoms go away.

As an alternative, create a paste by combining 1/2 teaspoon of salt with a little mustard oil or lemon juice. For a few minutes, gently massage the gums with this mixture before gargling warm water. To kill bacteria, repeat twice every day for a few days.

2. Oil Pulling

The ancient practice of oil pulling can lessen cavities, bleeding gums, and bad breath. It assists in clearing the mouth of dangerous germs that cause various dental issues.

Take a mouthful of one tablespoon of sesame oil.

For around 20 minutes, gently stir it.

hurl it back. Avoid swallowing the oil or gargling with it.

Warm water should be used to rinse your mouth. For additional antibacterial effects, use salt water.

As normal, brush your teeth.

Every day, first thing in the morning, do this.

Coconut oil or sunflower oil can also be used for this.

3. Onion

Garlic is frequently suggested as a treatment for tooth decay and cavities since it contains both antibacterial and antibiotic capabilities. Additionally, it might ease discomfort and support stronger teeth and gums.

3–4 smashed garlic cloves and 1/4 teaspoon rock salt should be combined to make a paste. On the affected tooth, apply it. Before rinsing with mouthwash, let it sit on for 10 minutes. For a few weeks, do this twice every day to prevent cavities.

To quickly relieve tooth pain brought on by a cavity, you can also apply some garlic oil to the affected tooth.

Regularly consuming raw garlic might also produce positive effects.
