Which mint? Our mint still dey work? They print these notes largely abroad at high cost. South Africa I believe.
A country with NEPA but no light, NNPC refineries but imports petrol, with steel companies but imports machine parts, with abundant land (Taraba or Niger State alone has enough farmland to feed 9ja) but imports food, etc.

I couldn't help laughing but I agree with your observation.
You see, close to 20 years ago when i had the privilege of visiting the mint in Lagos in company of some others, we noted it was only two or three of the naira notes (higher denominations) that were produced abroad while others were minted here in Lagos. There is a section in there whose job is to ensure defective new notes don't get out there. They check everything and remove them. They were doing a good job then. So, why we have badly produced banknotes out there is the question those evil dealers called leaders should answer.

This is not badly printed, but badly trimmed.
And it's as a result of not being properly placed before taken to the machine for cutting and trimming.
