davodyguy:You rushing to conclusions without any investigationā¦ You cannot know the cause of the broken base until an investigation is done. You cannot just pin it on construction error. Anything could have caused it the broken base. It might even have been after the train derailed from its track! |

Educate your population you say no....they don't deserve free/access to good education....you wanted to build ordinary railway...you had to get unschooled foreigners for the job...track is less than ten yrs old...but base concrete are already cracking....why are you surprised...will a Nigerian firm have done such shoddy job and be expecting to not re do it now? Educate your people you say no....now scrap pickers are removing the bolts and nuts from rail tracks both in Lagos the acclaimed "centre of excellence (in all good as well as crime)" and definitely at a higher rate....in the north..... Educate your population...you say no....now inconsiderate billionaires are using less monied citizens to steal government subsidy....sell illicit drugs....prodfake medicins... harvest human organs.... kill and commit genocide and banditry.... collect ransom as kidnappers....and commit so many other crimes.... Getting it all to stop is simple albeit tenuous.... Get your citizens properly educated....drive home and instill a pride to be a Nigerian in all the people....stop all open stealing and embezzlement of public resources....train your population properly and grant them access to run the nation's facilities properly...extol merit in granting appointments etc...etc... May God help us... Nigeria will surely prevail 1 Like |

seunny4lif: Don't mind these perennially disgruntled air heads with nothing upstairs. In their empty heads, everything should be perfect in Nigeria, with no single mishap. Meanwhile check their own personal lives and see how how imperfect they themselves are. Train derailment is a VERY COMMON, daily occurrence across the world. Just 3 days ago a train derailed in Australia. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11629243/Chaos-freight-train-derails-Sydney-Banksmeadow.html This derailment happened just YESTERDAY in California. https://www.bakersfield.com/news/derailment-halts-train-traffic-through-tehachapi-pass/article_0329055e-99f6-11ed-b6f7-cbe575b4e9d3.html Last Thursday, a derailment occurred in Ohio, USA: https://eu.zanesvilletimesrecorder.com/story/news/local/2023/01/20/dozens-of-train-cars-derail-in-trinway/69827136007/ Last Wednesday, a derailment in Canada: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/47-cars-left-tracks-during-train-derailment-1.6716535 Two weeks ago a train derailed in Seattle USA. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/transportation/freight-train-derails-in-sodo-hits-power-station/ Last week a train derailed in the state of Washington, USA. https://mynorthwest.com/3762365/train-derailed-under-i-5-overpass-in-mount-vernon/ |

Nigerians! This is not on the government at all! We need to wake up and take charge of this country. FG borrowed money to build these train lines, but people are looting the tracks! Who loses I hope the FG can start preemptive surveillance and arrest looters. Nonsense! |

Hmm, one derail too many. Hope the tracks were not vandalized for steel. Cause it is just like putting fried rice on a huge tray on ground where you have bunch of hungry people. Secondly hope it is not the infamous blodas of our oga at the top, practicing ie doing testing testing on the rail tracks before striking. |
