Several factors to consider:

1. Nature of work, ie remote, onsite, hybrid
2. Distance of work to place of residence
3. Location of residence.

If for instance, you live somewhere in Alimosho, say Iyana ipaja and have a job in Ikeja that requires you go to work 5 times a week from 8am to 4pm, then you'd know that you're spending around 1500 everyday on transport fare. Multiplied by 20, that's N30,000 just for transport fare. Provided you live alone and don't have mouth to feed, and don't need to eat expensively. You can manage with 30,000 a month for food. If you're living in a self contain where you have to pay around 250,000 annually. Then you're expected to save around 20,800 every month.
Emergency fund should not be less than 10,000. And 10,000 for miscellaneous.

That's:

30,000 + 30,000 + 20,800 + 10,000 + 10,000 = 100,800. So you need roughly 100,000 to live an average life in Lagos

If you are considering accepting an offer the best thing to do is to search on Google to find out how much those working in similar role in the state are earning. Glassdoor should help you

Boss, I think 1.5M rent is fair enough considering the high cost of living. You can get a decent 3 needroom around surulere axis but it might just take much of time to find. In this period, you've to spend wisely and think ahead if what is coming.
adecz:

If you make 700k a month, you
can afford a 1.5 to 2m house in
Lagos. Abi you prefer to get a 900k
3 bedroom house, far away from your
work and be spending 80k monthly on fuel and hold up ❓

Remember that when APC wins,
petrol will become N800/ litre.⛽️⛽️

What you don't know is, someone earning 1.5m monthly will be in his own house, not in a 2.5m rented apartment..... He can collect a room self contain close to his work, put family in his built house and be visiting them when chanced.... Only a rich person will be paying 2.5m house rent, not a salary earner....

Salary is not for life, so u won't see anyone collecting such amount and waste it on house rent.

That's what you think. Then why are people paying N4mln for 4 bedroom duplex in Agungi,Chevron axis of Lagos? Why are people paying N8mln for phase 1 duplex and why are people paying N12mln rent on Ikoyi and Banana island? For those amounts, why don't they all have their own houses? In my estate of 24 units, rent is N3.5 or N4mln and only 3 units are occupied by owners. Why are the others paying it instead of staying in their house?

Like saving N120mln to buy a house is easy.

If it were to be Ibadan and co ,I would agree with you. Not Lagos.

No amount is enough. 50k for a minimum and being (CONTENTED) contempted with your earning solves a lot of problem.

Modified
Dont quote me ejor. Say your own and move forward, biko. No be me need advice mbok. how much is minimum wage?
It'll shock you that more than half of Nigerians earn around 50k.
But no matter what, let your earning not drop below 50k. E get why.

Many earn below 50k per month

To be honest, no amount of money is enough in present day Nigeria when talking about salaries and wages. 1m monthly today will not be enough no matter how you manage it if agbado and cassava man enter power again because prices will quadruple and wages will be stagnant.

Nigeria will be under lock down by the international community if Agbado man enters power, because of his past drug trafficking offences.
