21% Interest is what they charge credit cards abroad. Nigeria is under a spell. Imagine a state borrowing at 21%!!!
Do you follow CBN monetary policies? That 21% is even a good bargain considering that it's a very long tenor. We keep screaming abroad upandan. We don't want to accept the fact that Nigeria is a poor overpopulated country. If you like let politicians or the press keep deceiving you that Nigeria is rich.

Na so, take loans.
Imagine that your paddy that cannot manage himself. You both earn the same but he is always in debt. The easy way is to take loans from sokoloan, pay later etc. He cannot cut down his expenses. He eats and drinks what he does not need. He lives above his means. Carries olosho every Friday night, drinks choice spirits mixed with Cranberry juice.
Imagine that your paddy now being your politician handling your resources.

You really no get sense o. You think Obi, Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwaso would affected by the new naira notes?
Fidelity Bank can give Obi new Notes when ever he wants.
Atiku has numerous companies that can get the naira notes from Banks whenever he wants.
Tinubu has bank managers to call if he needs money..
You guys are still novices when it comes to Nigeria..

Feb 25th will teach you a big lesson.

100 billion to fund Atiku’s Campaign. Na wa oh!!!

And at 21% per Annum? That’s ridiculous, so if it takes them 4 years to pay back, they’ll be paying #214.35 billion

We seriously need to stop borrowing in this country, it’s doing more harm than good. We need to put an end to the politics of financial prowess. We need to produce instead of consume.

Get your PVCs guys, vote right🙂
Foolish person will open mouth waaaa. Where would Nigeria get money to finance project and run the economy?
You think it's oil money? You guys are just too unknowledgeable about Nigeria's economy 🤦‍♂️

I know you would foolishly say Nigeria has 1001 natural resources.. But you'd be stupid to know that between us and those natural resources are billions of dollars worth of investment.
Where will those money come from? Oil?

This is not proper considering the misuse and mismanagement of past loans. This is a banana pill for the incoming administration. An administration exiting office in two months taking a whopping N100billion loan. It is not N100milion please.
The state government has a lot to hide hence avoided going by way of bond issuance, which would be scrutinized by regulators and perhaps delayed for the incoming administration. The last bond issued by the state government was badly managed with nothing to show for it. So they shifted to the more subtle loan
The withdrawal of Zenith Bank from the transaction is a red flag. There are ulterior motives of using an obscure bank to lead this transaction.

But taking a 100bn loan at 21% P/A is plain criminal .At simple interest rates ,that means the bank will be making 63% profit for a 3year loan. This is wickedness Sha,coming from a state with a very high FEC allocation ...smh

Taich:
How can we make laws so porous that these politicians can recklessly borrow our future away. Imagine those that want to handle Nigeria behaving like common thieves in Delta.

This is the most intelligent question ever asked. How could a country be run this way? How can a state governor or even the president, wake up and demand for a 200 billion naira loan and gets it?

He will then go ahead and use the laon to buy cars for girlfriends and traditional rulers and fellow corrupt politicians like House members, and in all these there is no federal agency after him! Not even The EFCC.

No country else in the world is governed like this! And no country governed like this will ever make progress.. This is nothing but institutionalized corruption..
