1. 10th February is the dead line and again 10th - 17th February is the grace period.
2. After the deadline, banks will still collect old notes.
3. CBN is the only bank to accept/change the old notes after deadline.

Many people still go with the wrong impression that banks are the problem. There's so much emotion and ignorance flying around. Nobody should go thru all this suffering because buhari wants to redesign naira notes.

The aim is to go cashless, hence the reduced production of paper notes.

Commercial banks can accept them from citizens but they will only credit accounts and not pay cash. And the banks can redeem them from Central Bank. A very good move from the CBN.
