You reap what you sow is a universal truth. If you want to predict the future of any nation, just look at quality of educational system. The quality of education is directly proportional to future economic, social and political progress. If our the men we send to schools turn into full time gangsters, robbers and thugs, and the young girls we send to school turn into into fulltime prostitutes, then what can we expect from the future?
One does not need to be a prophet to see that the futre is very bleak for Nigeria.

gej is not the major probrem nigeria have as a country, and i did not see anything bad in dreaming to have a better and great country. if our leaders starting from gowon to sani abacha even to yar' dua did see Nigeria outside ethinicity and selfgain point of veiw, if they had compared us with these countries and had taken a proactive measure to keep us in the right path, we would be in present singapore not what we have today as nigeria.

Nigeria should be talking of being ahead of better nations, but with terrible leadership, this is where we found ourselves

How can Nigeria overtake Egypt and South Africa with whacked infrastructures?? No roads, rails, electricity, water to mention but a few, They should think about put the basic amenities right before trying to catch up with countries that are far more developed,

GEJ just go and sleep you are just don't talk about south africa and eygpt think of Ghana and Benin is just like a railway planning to overtake Aluko Dangote in business when he retire. Nigeria just say we will try and improve the economy and go and finish your assignment on the power sector first before you start talking

I still think Nigeria can overtake Egypt in a short while if the leaders really put things in place, the major hurdle with speeding up growth largely lies in electricity supply. The labor force in Nigeria is more than twice that of Egypt and the problem is that more are employed in the Agricultural sector than industry as in the case of Egypt.  As at 2010 Nigeria was growing at 8.4% while Egypt grew by 5.1%, at real growth rate. This means that if the factors like electricity supply, good  infrastructure and better investment environment is created within two years Nigeria might knock Egypt off it position.

There is no doubt that Nigeria's economy is growing faster than that of Egypt. One thing is for sure that Nigeria will one day overtake Egypt. Only if the country is continued to be plagued with political instability that will be what will set it back from not getting to that position.
