This "we" in "We win" is not "We the people" ooo. It's the we-we elite and corrupt politicians who want to run elections with old naira.

Wow the policy was a good one but the implementation is the problem, there is no where in the world currency swap is hurriedly done ...it takes months to fully implement...if u want to stop politicians from vote buying invest in security intelligence that will take care of it ,,

Imagine a country of intelligent and smart people believing that this is the best way to go about vote buying.

That is one heck of BS that should have gotten the CBN gov fired.

My personal opinion is that because he lost out in the APC presidential primary election (the form was 100m), he thought he could revenge. Imagine how people's lives and businesses have already been affected by this, esp in the rural areas.

There are better ways to prevent people from breaking the law than letting the whole population suffer like this.

The policy isn't bad, it is the execution that's faulty.

It is bad policy. Demonetization has failed every where there is a large informal economy. Approx 45% of Nigeria is unbanked and it is this same informal economy that gives Nigeria so much resilience that the CBN wants to destroy.

If you want to do demonetisation then spend a couple of years building the infrastructure including bandwidth, networks and rural banking.

This is bad policy. Wrong place, wrong time.

If you are interested in a good read about how this same policy ( with same rationale) failed in India please take a look at this article. https://www.strategy-business.com/article/What-Happened-after-India-Eliminated-Cash
