Nigerian man in shock after finding old naira notes stashed under bed by wife (Video)

A Nigerian man has been left in shock after he discovered old naira notes stashed under the bed by his wife.

In a video making the rounds on social media, a man ranted about the amount of old N1000 and N500 notes kept under their matrimonial bed by his wife.

He disclosed that his charger fell under the bed and he removed the mattress to fetch it only to be greeted with a stash of cash under the bed.

He lamented that whenever she told the woman to cook soup, she would always tell him that there was no money whereas, she had stashed some of the money under the bed.

He said he had not counted to know exactly how much, but the notes were many.

The old N1000 and N500 are no longer a legal tender in Nigeria. Only the Central Bank of Nigeria can collect the old notes.

Commercial banks have been banned from collecting the notes.
