Here are some of the reasons why you should vote for Peter Obi of the Labour Party in the presidential election coming up on Saturday.

He has an unquestionable clean track record. The only politician alive who boldly said “show me where I misappropriated 1Kobo as a public servant and I will stop campaigning to be president.”

When he was Governor of Anambra State, he strategically invested so much in education. Under him Anambra moved from 26th to 1st in WAEC.

Under him, Anambra came first in healthcare and he won the prestigious Bill and Melinda Gates foundation award that came with N120M. The opposition Federal Govt at that time even recognized and acknowledged his magic in healthcare.

Under him Anambra was the safest. The then IG of police Abubakar Muhammed made this known. Remember he was not in the ruling party.

Anambra had the best road network in Nigeria under Peter Obi and he fought erosion to a standstill.

He came first in education, security, healthcare, infrastructure, rural development, and was declared by the then senate as the only state in Nigeria with financial stability.

And he was the only Governor that left without owing any salaries, debts, or pensions. Instead, he left N75B in the state treasury for his successor.

He is the only former governor that rejected any form of gratuity and every other entitlement to date. He cut down the cost of governance and was in fact impeached twice because he refused to play the game of ‘share the money’ by the state’s house of assembly.

He is the only candidate that even before he joined politics and after serving as a Governor, has been going to schools and hospitals, both in the North and South, rebuilding, refurbishing, and donating millions of his personal money to as many as he could.

And these are things you can verify. He is the most scrutinized Candidate and yet no stain has been found on his records.

And lastly, he’s the healthiest and strongest amongst the three leading candidates. At least, this one is easy to verify.

Clean, healthy, prudent, articulate, humble, selfless, accessible, intelligent, compassionate, and verifiable corrupt-free long standing record.

Compare these to the other candidates and decide for the future of this country.
