Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, has ridiculed the G-5 governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over their failure to agree on a presidential candidate. In a statement published on Wednesday, February 22, Sani stated that despite traveling together around the world for seven months, the governors couldn’t reach a consensus on their preferred presidential candidate.

In a tweet posted on Tuesday, February 21, Sani wrote, “The G5 Governors wore uniform attire for Seven Months in London, Madrid and Paris but couldn’t agree on a Uniform candidate.”

It made little sense. Not supporting a candidate diluted their revolt. If they backed one person, it would have sent a strong political signal even if it doesn't have a lot of electoral weight.
