You don't know how rural communities work. That's most likely a PDP State.

See, people will still vote PDP there because they'll believe that there are spies to rat them out. They'll start from the person who told everyone to vote another party.

I’m in Delta. Don’t exaggerate anything here. He should state his location.

I just arrived my village for Tomorrow's general election. Now my Dad is telling me that one PDP guy who always served as an agent in my unit as issue a threat through the towncrier and the village head that any one who do not vote for PDP will be killed. This is the same guy that shoot one APC agent in the 2019 election.

You're all cowards in your village, starting with the woman you call your father.

The guy might be right. When I served in Cross Rivers I noticed this exact thing. The truth is that most villagers don't have a choice apart from who the bullies usually tells them to vote for. It is just like an allegiance to them because they have been collecting crumbs like little foodstuffs, money and other things from those bullies even before the election day and in return they can't deviate from the agreement they reached together. Those bullies who are usually the party heads like ward chairmen are promised a higher post in government once they deliver block votes from their communities. This is what is obtainable in most rural south south communities. States like Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Beyelsa are guilty of this.

You won't understand. Most of these rural areas in some south south communities doesn't have good roads that can be accessed easily except by foot so in most cases the security agents doesn't bother themselves going there when you call them. I can vividly recollect how they held some of my coper colleagues hostage in one of the rural community in Cross River just because the copers refused to do their bidding of mass rigging the election for one party. After the day's voting we were already at the collation center waiting for them to join us before we head back together to the local government INEC office to submit sensitive materials and other things but they were no where to be seen and their numbers wasn't going either. Luckily words reached us at that point that they were held captive by the party agents of that community and our SPO reported it to the soldiers and DSS officers that were securing the collation center and they divided themselves into two. One batch escorted us back to the INEC office and the other batch traced the copers to that community and rescued them and they joined us later in the night. It was a horrible experience so I'm not doubting what this OP is saying.

There are young men in that village who have worked for PDP for a decade. By permutation, next year may be their turn to be let's say councilors or ward chairmen.

How do you come back from the city to explain to them to surrender their area of control to someone who won't compensate them for everything they've invested.

To them e be like to be expelled from university after studying medicine for 6 years. It's their entire hope and ambition. The elders of the community will side with them because you'll return to the city latest on Monday while they contend with the aftermath of "betraying" the party faithfuls.

That's the exact pattern of politics in the South South.

For the umpteenth time, Obi will win mostly urban votes. Let's face it, the political players gave up their State capitals to concentrate in the hinterlands.
most people will vote Thier conscience, police is everywhere, they use to do same in riverine area's but the navy hear has issued a warning for everyone to vote their choice

Some of you are very delusional. Do you think EFCC has the resources to go everywhere? The truth is that, there are places that even the EFCC wouldn't go to, especially these rural areas. Some of these rural areas are controlled by militants and gangsters.

Tell us your location, let’s do the reporting since you can’t just do. One person can’t threaten everyone. Be proactive by reporting to the various security agent.

And after the reporting what do you think will happen. Change what you can change. When you see what pass you, it is left for you to decide whether or not you die over a politician.

Nigeria is the most blessed country of the world but, our greedy, self centered, useless and wicked leaders have always been the enemies of Nigeria.

Today, we go show them pepper!

This election is something else, today all the churches in this our small village came together to pray for peter obi. Nkst, catholic all came together for one man and to think this is happening in northern Nigeria beat my imagination.

LIES.
No such thing can happen anywhere in the North. Northerners don't play that kind of IGBOtic politics.
