I arrived the polling unit by 8.50am in the company of friends and neighbours. The whole community were standing there impatiently as INEC officials were missing till about 12.45pm.

They started working immediately and we all helped them maintain the peace in a crowd looking like they are up to 700 to 800 ready voters. We allowed elderly people and pregnant women, and those with disabilities to vote first, hen the youths got impatient after about an hour, and fought to be allowed to vote as the oldies were too many.

The youths are being attended to till I got hungry, I left after voting for Peter Obi. I didn't see anyone vote for any other person apart from Labour Party candidates. There are still over 500 people waiting here, some sitting down two three houses away and waiting to be attended to, that's the problem. This voting may never end by 8pm this night, the crowd here is too much.

Apart from the occasional raising of voices and small struggles for their turns to be attended to, there is peace as everyone is patient.

Yes since the fault was from INEC by not showing up early.

The election shouldn't stretch into the night else intimidation will be easier

It is raining here in Abuja where I reside currently for the first time this year. This is nothing but a good sign. Rain on election day. I pray it translates to real life. Our land is about to be productive again.
