It is possible (in fact very likely) that the elections there were also rigged.
The reason we are seeing the Lagos case is because other ethnic groups are there in significant numbers to provide Lagos Yorubas the support to also protest.
If you rig elections in core Yoruba states, the Christian Yorubas there may not be as motivated to protest as other Yorubas in Lagos.

SW do not play politics of religion. Every informed person in Nigeria knows this.

Islam is not the majority religion in Nigeria. If proper census is taken, Christians might just be more than Muslims in Nigeria.
Moreover, in a three or four horse race with only one Christian on the ballot, the Christians have the number to get one of their own into power. However, it is apparent that most Yoruba Christians chose ethnicity over religion.
Apart from that, it is obvious that the governors and other influencial politicians from Christian dominated Southeast, Southsouth and parts of the Middlebelt regions who belong to the two main political parties chose personal interest over their tribal interest or religious consideration.
So the result of this 2023 presidential election has nothing to do with Christians not having the number to win national elections against the Muslims. Thank you.
