Lagos State does not belong to Isale Eko indigenes alone. Much of Lagos State was carved out of the old Western Region! The former Federal Capital was different from the State created in 1967.

Lagos State has become populated with all kinds of people, therefore do Isale Eko people now have the numbers to make him Governor? If they don't, then why rile those that can help you win.

The Eguns were the only ones living in Lagos before the white men who named this geographical area as Lagos came. The Edos were the first to migrate in appreciable number, but in no time the Ijebus, Egbas and Aworis outnumbered the Edos because of their promixity to Lagos.
