If you already have work experience, you don't need a basic entry level like Comptia A+. I would suggest you do ITIL foundation, this cert is focused on IT service deliver and developimg excellent helpdesk processes. Microsoft fundamentals are also good because a lot of organisations use Microsoft 365. |

It really depends on where your interest lies. Not sure about how power unit relates to IT, but see if networking interests you. You can also grab a book/tutorial on programming and see if that interests you. Once you determine that, grab the bull by the horn and master the technology of choice very well. Good luck! kiako: |

kiako: Ambiguous question. When you say IT, do you mean as in Information Technology or IT-SIWES? The real question should be what do you want to do? What direction do you WANT to go? That will determine what and what you should do. Just saying you are a support staff in an electrical unit does not say much. What do you do? What would you like to do? |

kiako: Hi OP, First off, there is nothing you want to learn today that is not online. Absolutely, nothing. Secondly, the intrinsic value in knowledge lies in its application. So I therefore think that the question you should be asking yourself is, where do you see yourself in another 5 years? What would you like to be doing professionally at the time? If you are able to establish this, you can then map out your learning path, and select courses that would deepen your knowledge in these areas. Otherwise IT Support or Service Management is a wide field on its own. If you want to grow here, look into ITSM related courses and certification. ServiceNow is a leading service management tool used by enterprises, if you are looking to grow on product specific knowledge. |
