When will indigenes of several states/regions stop the Igbo domination of their market space?

Back in the 80's,many women own and sell their wears in Mile 2 Market,Lagos. It was filled with Yorubamen and women with few Igbos.

Slowly the matket place turned to Igbo dominated market when Easterners started to troop into Lagos enmass from their region.

There was competition for housing, school, health care, transport, food continued until prices of goods and services skyrocketed only to be available to the highest bidders.

The State govts need to make a law in all states so the indigenes of each region must have at least 85% of the market space for trading etc.Non indigenes of the region can only get 15% market space.

Some trading must be reserved for indigenes of the region and prohibited to non indigenes. This will be a protectionist law where Indigenes can thrivein yheir regions.

The Igbo domination of market place in other regions only bring poverty.
,penury, hopelessness to the indigenes who cant compete with drug pushers.

We need to bring back our markets to the indigenes.Thete is nothing Igbos are doing in our regions that we cant do better than them.Igbo markets will crumble if we the indigenes stop to patronize them but own people.

Make your suggestions
....

Lols go and ask Zimbabweans what happened when they took over market own by the whites in their country..

Even if they leave the market place for you guys you will still fail..

After failing you will still turn around and blame igbos for your failure..

There are 5 other Yoruba state with less Igbos in their markets go their and establish your own Yoruba dominated market,or still form a separate market for Yorubas in Lagos..

Envy and jealousy is next to witchcraft...

What okoros do is they flood the market with cheap products from Asia making it impossible for the indigenes to compete with the low prices. After the indigenes are driven out of the business they then reset the market price to a high level and become the ONLY sellers.

If you used this kind of logic in your everyday life, you wouldn't be as wretched as you are 🤷

Let's be frank please, if Igbos leave markets in Lagos, there'll be shortage of goods and most of the markets will be empty, same as if Yoruba women leave Agbo business and sachet drinks, there's will be no more cheap herbal medicine to help cure our jedi jedi and weak erections.

Igbos control the markets in Nigeria. Anything buying and selling, leave it for them.

Yorubas are incharge of agbo and sachet drinks with amala and ewedu.

Make everybody maintain their lane for peaceful coexistence.

Yorubas run the financial space - the fintec and banking industries.

Yorubas have taken over the entertainment industry especially the movie and music sector from under your nose. This are sectors you guys where dominating before.

We have yorubas who are doing well as traders. But buying and selling is simply not just our thing but some are still doing it and are doing well.. Yorubas are mostly education are and academicians.

I have come across yorubas who have several shops in utako market and building material markets here in Abuja. I was shocked! I bought my washing machine from a yoruba man here in Abuja, the shop is so big. I got to know he is a yoruba when he revived a call as he was about to write my receipt.
He spoke in his dialect. When I asked him how he understood yoruba he started laughing. He told me he is from osun state and there are many yorubas who own big shops here.

Hausas too are not left out, if you see their shops you will marvel.

Don't allow your shallow mind to give you the wrong impression that only the Igbo are doing well In trading. If you go round, you will know more..

The Hausas are by far the richest in Nigeria. But they don't brag with it. They have bought up almost all the oil wells and they currently dominate the political sector.
You own oil, they control it yet you brag about buying and selling. What a shame?!

You are a fool. Thought we are all one Nigerians ? Well, igbos don't actually want to be in your markets. Igbos do not want to share a country with you. If you want igbos out of your market, you must support the actualization of a state of biafra you bitter, little cretin. Of all the problems apc lead government has plunged Nigerians into, a peaceful igbo man, quietly doing his business, is your problem ? God, what kind of demons do we even have in this country as humans ? May all the death and violence you wish on igbos befall you and your family in hundred folds. May pains and violence never depart you and your family. As you wish the sons of igbos death, may violence and painful death visit your entire house hold.

The OP may have his own reason for the thread.

I only mentioned a guy that said yorubas only specialized in selling local herbs while the igbos dominate the Nigerian markets.

as their Children can hardly speak any other Languages but Yoruba and English and the 3rd generation ones in Oyo are already claiming they are Yorubas

The Ijebu Ogbomosho Ijesha Igbomina and to a certain extent Ibadan have always been excellent business people they should be encouraged more

The Land it is on still belongs to the Yorubas and we are begging you to refuse to pay your Land rent so the Land owners quickly can take back their Land with everything on it

The Document you are raving over is a 99 year Leasehold which the State Governor is free to terminate at any time or the Land owners can cancel when you refuse to pay your Land rent there are legal ways in which they can take back their Land before the 99years expiration of the Lease

Do you know that the Landowners can terminate the Leasehold and has an Obligation to do so if they can legally prove that Criminal Activities are going on ,on the Leased Land

Nobody is chasing anybody out of any market. If you can, get in. You know the rent, the taxes, harassment, levies and fluctuations induced by Nigeria political and ethnic policies targeted at a particular tribe.

People are succeeding and surviving not because their sheer strength but by unquenchable hope.

Go ask of shop price and come back. They are not your regular mates
