The police in Northern Cyprus have arrested over 50 Nigerians in a three-bedroom apartment rented and supposedly occupied by three Nigerian women in the Hamitköy region of Lefkosa, Northern Cyprus.

Local news outlet, Cyprusnews247, reported that in the last two years, the number of Africans entering the country from Ercan - a primary civilian International Airport of the unrecognised de facto state of Northern Cyprus, has exceeded 97,000.

Official statistics of the Ministry of Tourism states that there is a remarkable increase in the number of Africans entering Northern Cyprus from Ercan Airport.

It was reported that African-origin “visitors”, who started to work in different business lines after enrolling in any university in the country, ranked first including crimes drugs, violence, and theft, while citizens of the country said nobody knew the number of people living in apartments rented by two people in some areas.

Cyprusnews247 reports that information showed that the intervention of the police, especially in drug crimes, was strongly responded to, as special forces went to the specified address.

On Thursday, an incident took place in the Hamitköy region of Lefkosa when loud noises came from the apartment rented by three Nigerian women.

It was gathered that citizens who warned the police about 'prostitution and drugs' said that they had been unable to sleep for months as a result of noise that emanated from the three bedroom apartment.

During the arrest on Thursday, more than 50 Nigerians came out of the flat where the police raided instead of the three people who rented the apartment.

It was reported that the 3-person police team that went to the scene had difficulty in collecting more than 50 Nigerians from the apartment which they had reportedly turned into a club.

Cyprusnews247 quoted a resident of the area as saying, “We have all been devastated for months. We were unable to sleep, and we often did not get a response to our complaints. If more than 50 people leave a small apartment, it is not difficult to understand what kind of business is going on here. Our government should take this issue seriously and find a solution.”

“Believe me, we are considering leaving the country in the face of this situation,” the resident added.

Africans, Syrians and Afghans in TRNC were not issued work permit, there will be massive raiding next week for unregistered people

According to the information obtained; The Labor Department does not issue work permits to Africans, Syrians, and Afghan citizens within the framework of a state decision.

It is stated that although African origins are employed in many constructions, municipal tenders, industrial areas and even restaurants, the state is deprived of insurance and tax revenues because most are unregistered.

Attention is drawn to the importance of acting together with the Ministries of Education, Interior and Labor, and university officials, to act against foreigners of African origin, who make the public uneasy.

Ecevit Alper, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, drew attention to the fact that the number of 3rd world citizens currently registered is 19 thousand people.

Alper stated that no preliminary permit or work permit has been issued for Afghanistan, Syria, Nigeria and other Africans, and pointed out that the citizens of these countries are not given an entry visa to the TRNC.

Alper also pointed out that people belonging to this country are only allowed to enter the TRNC under student status.

Alper drew attention to the fact that the solution to the increase in Africans observed in informal life can only be achieved in two ways.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and the Ministry of National Education, YODAK and a working group to be formed by universities, a solution could be found for the increase in African or Nigerian nationals observed in informal life.

Alper said that the Ministry of Labor and Social Security also carries out serious studies on informality in general, and on unregistered workers of African or Nigerian origin, who are frequently on the agenda of the public.

Alper said, We will go out to the field with the teams next week.

We will strictly control the informal life with an audit team that will include the press. We also continue to work on people of African descent, who are observed to increase in informal life, that came to the country under student status and are channeled into informal working life.

If there's anything I'm sure of, it is that none of the ladies caught are from the Northern part of the country. It is the only region in Nigeria where we have virtuous women.

I repeat, Northern Nigeria is the only part of Nigeria where parents should demand for bride price from suitors before they approve the marriage of their daughters.

It is hard to find a southern girl who is not into "hookup" in today's Nigeria.

Southern parents should be involved in their children's lives and teach them about morals.

I have therefore resolved to marry a pure 22 year old virgin Fulani girl who will give birth to clean children that are not contaminated by the excess semen deposits of multiple sex partners.

Prostitution ring is very unsavoury. Why are Nigerian ladies messing up in foreign land? They should have mentioned names. I wanted to check something.

If u check the statistics very well, the descendants of Jew will be nothing less than 99%. That's their way of getting rich just to buy Yoruba land as they postulated. Thank God we proved them wrong this time that we can control Lagos as we like.
