No, as someone with ties to the South-East, Igbos will not Ignore the statements, they will let the statements sink into their subconcious hopefully. Second, Yorubas are not obligated to defend the Igbo tribe, the need will not arise. The Igbos will stop interfering in Yoruba politics and strive to develop their region. Is your region more developed than the Igbo land? What exactly do you call a developed place? Is it having brown roofs and unplanned buildings scattered all over the place?
