I'm not happy as you are. LP can not win the presidency if it is seen as a region party by others. The Igbos need to learn politics, they need to build ties with other region if they are serious.

I live in Jos, during the presidential elections, Igbos came out in mass along with the indigenes to vote for Obi but the Igbos failed to turn up when it was time for them to collaborate and plant a governor of the indigenes choice. That is very bad politicking, how will the locals in here want to vote for an igbo president, when they see them as fair weather friends?

The majority party always produces the speaker,even if they are all 18 year olds and the other party have 60 and 70 year olds.
The scenario you are painting,which is not even a law or statute in houses of assembly is where there are old and new members in the majority party;precedent dictates no new member can be nominated and thus elected for speakership.
We should try and get educated properly on issues atimes before running to post.

Apart from being majority, you also need to be a returning member to qualify to contest the Speaker position.
That has been the practice in Nigeria. Maybe they will have to relax that rule to enable one of LP's new members
assume the seat since they are majority.

After serious cooking of figures 😋 Since Saturday o. Even Oyo state with huge population and land size of equivalent of all the 5 SE states was able to conclude the elections and declared the winners in less than 24 hrs.

To help you make sense of your confusion,let me ask you a question that should guide you:
so if all members of the majority party are new members(as maybe the case with these elected LP men),so the speakership would then go to an elected member of the PDP that are a minority party,simply because he has spent several years in the state assembly?
