When the issue of Chief Olanipekun not competent to appear before on the basis of the letter which emanated from his Chambers boasting that the principal had influence on the bench. On the basis of this issue alone, the Petitioner can ask Chief Olanipekun to recuse himself from the proceedings. 1 Like |

Electorate:There's no parallel between your comparisons. It would make sense if English was not really considered to be a subject in the same way FCT is not like the regular State of the federation. English is a subject, just like every other subjects. Saying 5 credit passes in 5 subjects and English language would mean a pass in English language is required. However, FCT doesn't have the same similarities with other states of the federation in terms of administration and other things. There's no state attached to the constitutional name of FCT, so it makes sense to say 25% in 2/3 of the 36 states and the FCT. Section 299 would go ahead to say the FCT should be treated as if it's a state of the federation in constitutional matters. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nairaland has now become a court room. People that have never enter a courtroom before acting as supreme court judges. What exactly is the problem with you Nigerians? Your politicians take public rsources to by properties abroad, send their children to best schools abroad, get best medical care abroad. You are left behind to suffer in a system they design to frustrate you. instead of discussing how to solve the challenge as victims of the corrupt system, you are here fighting over matter that your opinion wont influence the final outcome. You are all victims of the system. 1 Like |

Believeintruth: Tinubu had an out of court settlement in a civil case. He was never indicted and the case was DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE. It is a closed case that can never be reopened. INEC can decide to transmit result anyhow they like. INEC guidelines recognize both manual and online transmission of results. The court will not nullify the election because some results were not immediately transmitted to IREV as a result of network problem. The non-transmission did not affect the outcome of the election in any way and the manual transmission is enough to complete the process. Tinubu is not on any rope and Wole Olanipekun is actually drinking beer because this will be his easiest case so far. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I Was going through twitter this morning when I saw Tinubu trending, all i was thinking about was international community and lawsuit have been resolved, only for me to see a new filled case in court against him. Let's analyse this case carefully without be biased. Firstly am a Nigeria before becoming any political party member, and forever Nigeria will remain even after am gone. Now the question is why did peter obi make a swift turnaround to file a new suit? 1. In a court of law the most radical case to attend to without much wasting of time is criminal case. 2. The configuration of bvas by inec make the initial case weak I.e evidence have be sweep under the carpet. Inec thinks that is a smart much, but no in the prayer presented in court, amazon cloud storage will also be look at, involving an international body. Usa and other, because , that is USA company. Am not a lawyer but before we conclude let's look at it this way. An area boy of 5 years can not walk to an elderly man of 50years to slap him without a backup from the senior area boys. Let's pray this issue is solved peacefully and the right thing is done. Long life F.R.N |

DeOTR: Going by your assertion, Since FCT is not a state which is rightfully so because it doesn't have a Governor neither does it have representatives in the Senate and House of Representative which makes it DISTINCT and DISTINGUISHED hence the stated 2/3 of all states AND fct. The AND clearly represent an addition to the 2/3 require to win which the APC didn't meet up to. The APC didn't win the FCT (Mandatory English Language) which means they cannot be declared winner. Period. |
Re: Meet Wole Olanipekun; Tinubu's Lead Counsel At The Presidential Tribunal by DeOTR: 4:39pm On Mar 22, 2023 |
Electorate:There's no where in the constitution that states a candidate must win the FCT to be declared the winner, no? Section 299 or is it 290 already instructs us to treat FCT as though it's a state in the federal in constitutional matters. Sticking to allegations of rigging would have been the best best for Obi, banking on an ambiguous section of the constitution. They'll use the ambiguity to knock your case out. |
