We from the south east do not need nor are we begging for senate president under a stolen mandate.
Our position together with all obedient family nationwide is for the court of law to do its job and declare obi the true winner of the 2023 election. The whole world knows obi votes on many states where suppressed to allow for the drug lord to emerge
There is no senate president under a stolen mandate

"How come that a candidate of the APC for example, who ran for Senate, had more votes than his party's presidential candidate, in an election that was conducted same day, same hour, same time, following the same process? It could only be conspiracy. It was quite unfortunate that Senators from the south-east fought to win their election, but left the APC presidential candidate to suffer defeat in their domain. How then do you now turn around to ask for number three position when you know in your heart of hearts that you never supported the candidate ab initio? "

This is deep and logical

But why Agbero of South West have Obasanjo as president for 8 years,Osinbanjo as Vice President for 8 years and now having Tinubu as president elect....It seems there is need to learn from Agbero politics and I want to ask why south east governors are not doing enough regarding governance like South Western governors since you guys always vote on competence....It’s high time we shunned tribal politics and face reality in Nigeria cuz I don’t fancy any politicians, just check out the four gladiators in presidential election and tell me how they have been faring since 1999 democracy in Nigeria.Tinubu,Obi,Atiku and Kwankwaso are APCPDP members that have suck us dry.

Should they have rigged for him? A lot of Nigerians don’t understand true democracy. Tinubu is old, has a questionable background, helped one of the worst presidents in Buhari win election, and OBJ was president from 99-07. Of course South Easterners were going to strongly support Obi. If you think SE should be “punished” for their decision then Nigeria isn’t ready to grow.
your reasoning is so funny and hypocritical, politics is game of intrest, you give and take. You don’t sow cassava and be expecting to harvest maize.

If you like keep on indulging everyone with insult ain't you guys tired 😴 of being a bully ? A reasonable person will take a pause and listen to advice .
Your submission is so baseless so if Obi had been declared winner people will leave their competent candidates and vote for Obi's candidate because of Obi? Just take a pause and think 💭.
Politicians decamp to have solid political structure but presidential candidates victory can't sway electorate to vote for an incompetent person . Why didn't APC win Oyo state ? What about Kaduna ? APC Som but lost in the presidential The list is endless.

So moving this country forward doesn't concern you, but about reaping where you sowed?

Does the progress of this country ever a priority? Or is the priority about having your brother as the leader?

Very valid argument.

It was the first time I was seeing sitting Governor losing election to the Senate. Seven serving Governors who wanted to become Senators lost elections woefully. That couldn't have been possible without credible election; where a Personal Assistant was elected Senator in Edo State, an Okada rider defeating a popular musician in Lagos, where Asiwaju Tinubu was defeated in Lagos by the Labour Party candidate, how much of credibility do you want to see? I think the two major candidates, Atiku and Obi are bad losers. They need to wake up and take a patriotic position by congratulating the winner in the spirit of sportsmanship. We need to stabilise the polity for the new President-elect to be able to deliver his promises. As per the tribunal, there is nothing that will come out of it, because the President-elect got votes across the country, to enjoy enough spread. It will help enrich our legal jurisprudence, but it won't be the responsibility of the Judiciary to generate fresh votes when the people have spoken on the 25th February. We should never speak of another annulment after the unfortunate incident of 1993. The election has been won and lost.

While the Southsouth helped Tinubu get the required statutory 25% of 2/3rd of states to win the presidency the Southeast vehemently and openly worked against him, and gave all their votes to Obi who promptly lost to Tinubu.

The jungle has now matured. It's time to reap where you sowed, and the Southeast, not retrospective over why they are out of the power equation again, are asking Tinubu to reward them with the Senate Presidency at the expense of the well derserving people of Southsouth for what they call "national unity" reasons.

Didn't they know that there was something called "national unity" before and during the elections? How can you work for Hero Beer and ask MTN to pay your salary? How can you refuse the offer of Unilever shares, go ahead to buy the shares of Next Supermarket, and after Next made a loss, you ask Unilever to deprive their shareholders and pay you their dividends - all because you suddenly remember national unity?

You cry marginalization when nobody ever deprived you of anything you earned in Nigeria, but want to be rewarded with fruits of the labour of the people of Southsouth as if they don't matter or are non-existent as far as you are concerned?

Look at the facts and tell me who deserves to produce the next Senate President between the Southeast and Southsouth:

1. Southeast gave Tinubu 0/5 of their states.
Southsouth gave him 5/6 of their states

2. Southeast gave Tinubu 6% of their votes.
Southsouth gave him 30% of their votes.

3. The Southeast senators that won their seats selfishly worked for themselves only in the election and neglected Tinubu. Thus they had huge numbers for themselves while Tinubu had almost nothing from their places.
The Southsouth senators that won their seats worked for both themselves and Tinubu. Thus they both had huge numbers from their places.

4. The entire Southeast zone gave Tinubu a paltry 127k votes.
Cross River state alone which is not even the highest in their zone, gave him 130K votes, and as a zone Southsouth gave him 800K votes.

5. The trend of APC's votes in the Southeast is falling in every election since 2015.
APC's votes in the Southsouth has been rising in every election since 2015.

6. Southeast has not forgiven APC for the loss of the presidency by their "son" Jonathan when they defeated their beloved PDP in 2015.
The Southsouth have moved on, forgotten about 2015, and are embracing APC. Their body language suggests that they don't want to be in opposition anymore.

7. According to the present trends, with the Senate Presidency, the Southeast will still NEVER vote for APC in the future. Their unwarranted hatred for the party is too deep.
According to the present trends, with the Senate President, the Southsouth have a chance of becoming another APC stronghold in the near future.

If politics remain a game of numbers, why should APC deprive the Southsouth zone which is becoming a fertile land for them to garner higher votes in the future, of the Senate Presidency in order to placate the Southeast which is determined to remain a political desert that irrespective of how much they are appeased, cannot yield the party any useful number of votes going forward?
You finish work for this your write up comrade..
