My opinion,it's giving a knocking sound means the .engine part is grinding on other parts given a knocking sound, engines are designed with very little friction so it should be seamless

A knocked angine,is an engine that is no longer pumimg oil due to oil pump damage,oil pump block,damaged crankshaft, damaged bearings, etc creating a sharp friction sound like gun clapping. Depending on how rugged your engine is, a knocked enginebis danger tho can still be driven for a short time let's say a week. An attempt to repair a knocked engine would end in regrets as it would be smoking and mechanic will chop u. Best remedy,replace with a toks engine and change all oil seals and spark plugs.
