As predicted by LEADERSHIP, the former Auditor General for Local Governments in Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election held in the State om Friday.
Ododo, who scored a total of 78,704 votes, won the direct primary election with a wide margin to defeat six other contestants in the governorship race.

LEADERSHIP recalls that about seven other aspirants including the state’s deputy governor, Edward Onoja, Governor Yahaya Bello’s Chief of Staff, Pharm. Mohammed Asuku, had earlier withdrawn from the gubernatorial race on the eve of the primary election.

Ododo, who won with a very wide margin, defeated the distant runner-up, Barr. Mohammed Ozigi Salami, who scored 1,506 votes while the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Smart Adeyemi, scored the least number of votes – 311. Below is the total number of votes received by all the contestants-

The secretary of the Kogi State APC Primary Election Committee, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, on behalf of the chairman of the panel, Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State, announced the results and declared Mr. Ahmed Usman Ododo as the winner of the gubernatorial primary election.

Kogi state election will be interesting, Yahaya who performed poorly in governance picks his tribe man in a state strongly divided along tribal lines.

Waiting for who PDP will pick.

Yahaya Bello installing another Ebira after his tenure is trying to play from the Igala handbook where one tribe retained power tenure after tenure instead of following the Delta State format which rotates power amongst different tribes and zones.
He is hoping to win the election by violence and cutting off federal roads to block INEC from reaching his opponents strongholds with voting materials as usual because he sees INEC as incompetent

Yeye Bello did that because he is banking on INEC, rigging, thurgery, violence, federal might, and police. As long as APC remains in Aso rock, elections in Nigeria will always end in shambles. It will get worse with time.

If PDP fails to present a popular and trusted candidate, these criminals and bigots will still win. APC is a SATANIC party. Nothing can come out of that party. They have introduced all forms of deformity to the system.

The only person that can remove this man and his stooge right now is a popular Igala Christian.

Emphasis on Christian because that is the only way to get 5% of the votes cast in the entire Ebira land. Ebiras and Igalas are some of the world's worst bigots. The worst in the entire universe.

Just look at the mess that yeye Senator Smart Adeyemi has put himself into. A former 3 term senator doing a boy-boy to a 40 year old gubernatorial criminal. He couldn't even secure 500 votes at the primary election after everything! The Okuns should just prepare themselves to be "slaves" again, this time to another tribal fanatic from Igala.

The reality bro is that there are three major ethnic groups in Kogi just like Nigeria, the Igala's like the Hausa-Fulani are in majority, however, not the kind of majority that puts you in a cruise position.
The 2006 census put them at around 45 or so percentage. Any other figure any one dishes out is a lie concocted from the pit of hell.

So, the other two senatorial districts are more than the Igalas combined.

The foregoing notwithstanding, in other to win the trust of the Okuns and creat a solid basis for future negotiation, Yahya Bello should have anointed an ally from the western senatorial district.

Are you from Kogi State? If you are not from Kogi State, just keep quiet. But if you are from Kogi State, you will understand that Ebira man is not the first governor that will hand over to another Ebira. Igala people did it. Audu handed over to Idris, Idris handed over to Wada,all Igala. So can you see that what Bello is doing is justifiable?

Why doed APC like making up numbers? I put it to everyone that is reading this that these numbers are fabricated. These numbers didn't vote in APC primary election. The true number is not more than 15,000.
