You are wrong. The UK government or any International government can make a serious issue secret if it has serious impacts on political or socio economic factors at that particular period. The only thing is that it does not end the matter.

In future, when the political or socio economic factors that would have been impacted or triggered are over the details would be made public.

The Nigerian Intelligence Agencies high hierachy know what happened but the subject might have been given security classification - Top Secret and the messages encrypted with decipher codes known only to one or two people.

When Obi team released a propaganda that the British Government apologized to Obi, the British government released a strong diplomatic message that they did not apologize. For a person with Diplomatic Service or environment experience, that message showed that there is an issue but the timing is wrong for enforcement.

Starting from his grandfather that was a staunch antagonist to Yoruba leaders during Awolowo time in odogbolu, his grandmother's house was partially burnt during the unfortunate crisis of "operation wetie". His father deliberately mobilized people to set a major road on fire to deter MKO from campaigning in Odogbolu then. Now his son Rufai also has started his own. I'm not surprised at his journalism style. He's the son of his father. God bless his fathers soul, he died late last year
