It might sound dumb but that's how it has always been, go and check the previous winners. The law says 2/3 majority AND 25% In FCT. Does it sound dumb when universities say it's a must that you should have at least credit in math n english irrespective of the course you're studying? Or the A's that you got in other subjects.

"AND" is a conjunction that's why you say Maths and English meaning both must be satisfied.

If JAMB says a candidate must score 9 credits in 9 subjects including Maths and English what does it mean? If you score 9credits in other subjects without Maths and English will you be admitted? If you enter through the backdoor the school will still rusticate you if you like be in your final year.
