Emefiele Removal Is Illegal And Violation Of Nigerian Laws by kimjongJezebel: 12:58pm On Jun 10, 2023
The Nigerian Law and CBN Act doesn't give room for the Governor of the CBN to be removed by any other means other than 2/3 majority votes by the Senate or through resignation. Nigerian President does not have the power to unilaterally remove the Governor. Nothing like the word "suspension'' in CBN Act. We don't live in a banana republic.

Therefore, the purported removal of Governor Ifeanyi Emefiele and the appointment of an illegal fourth place Deputy Governor as Acting Governor is illegal, null and void and of no effect.

Better still, lock down Alaigbo land.

According to the law, there's nothing like suspension and so, he has no power to suspend him. If there's any issue, he writes the Senate and seeks their support for his removal. We don't live in a banana republic.

Go and reinstate him busy body man!
But you did not condemned Emefiele when he illegally changed our currency without recourse to our law.
Where were you when Nigerians were being denied to use their hard earned money through the deadly and ill-fated cash confiscation?

You're wrong, it is a legal move. The CBN governor can not be sacked unless with 2/3 of the national assembly but he can be suspended indefinitely. You'd recall that Lamido Sanusi was also not sacked but suspended.
