I work in the transport and logistics firm. And I can tell you for free that it is normal for empty containers to leave the country. Millions of containers are however, are held in China waiting to be loaded as import has reduced drastically. Many shipping companies have reduced their rates due to lower patronage. Investors are still skeptical about the new government. We should expect more imports from May-August. Usually, a single government policy can change everything. It can make one lose billions or gain same vice- versa. There was a time someone had twenty units of 40' containers coming into the country just for the FG to ban importation of rice.

On a flip side, if we have a very robust agricultural and mechanised economy, the empty containers ought to be export-laden containers instead of going empty.

God bless you sir, people just jump to conclusions without having knowledge of how it works. Even in America, they have more of empty container, those containers are later reposition to countries like china that have shortage of empty containers for export

Go and make a research about how much land is sold for in Boudillon in koyi where one of Tinubu property is located.

How did Tinubu became wealthy to the point that his daughters can splash out $4m on properties in New York? Which work and business is he doing?

Even if one is able to export, the bottlenecks are just too frustrating walahi. No electronics, no furnitures, no toys, very little food, and mostly crude is what we export. A pity.

The over greediness of Peter Obi is the cause of this rubbish. If Peter had agreed to work with Atiku,we would have started smelling good governance.
In fact I blame peter Obi for Tinubu's win.

Don't mind those useless Obi supporters. Their dullard bro was governor for good 8 years without exporting ordinary charcoal but the families are here to tell us what the useless brother want to do. I am still disappointed how those Obi supporters think.

This is the same reason our shipping lines and airlines continue to fail no matter how many times we float it. Only Obi addressed this issue during campaign.

The rice you are eating, the onions you are buying, the tomato for your jollof, the beans for your Akara should I continue or did you import those from China?

SO the first time in your life you ate beans, akara, rice, tomatoes and onions was after 2015? That means you were born like 7 or 8years ago. No wonder you talk the way you do. You should be watching nickelodeon. Obviously, this discussion isn't for your age. When you get to JSS 1 or 2, am sure they will teach you more

Don't blame him. He has the right to contest individually also.
As far as both are concerned, Tinubu came a distant third. So contesting individually or together is not a substance to latch on from the winning party.

Notwithstanding the assumption by all comment-makers on this topic, I'm not convinced...in fact, nothing in the article factually presents those shipping containers as "Empty"?

Can we see the containers opened?

or how in Ikoro's name did we arrive at the conclusion they were all empty containers?

Re: 4000 Empty Containers Leaving Nigeria (Picture) by 43Ronin: 5:16pm On Apr 21, 2023
these are some of the reasons they leaving Nigeria empty;
1: Agricultural produces are now insufficient due to killings by fulani herdsmen.
2: Our Agricultural products do not meet international standards of exporting. E.g Canada banned Nigerian Yam from their country bc we don't clean the yams when we load them for export. we just load then with the dirt from the earth only for it to be a eyesore for canadian customs. Germany also banned our beans sometime because we don't rid them of weasel.
3: Corruption. possibly funds from the various FADAMA did not meet its intended target.

I like your signature: see video below: "On your mandate, on your mandate..."

The FBI knew of the day Bola Tinubu's two youngest daughters Habibat Oyindamola Tinubu and Zainab Abisola Tinubu bought houses in New York at ages 25 and 22, with no known jobs or businesses. One was a deluxe condo at 55 Berry Street, Brooklyn, New York, NY 11249. Oyindamola paid $2,150,000 in cash for this one in 2014. The other was a deluxe apartment at 255 Hudson Street, New York, NY 10013. Zainab Abisola Tinubu paid $2,400,000 in cash for this one. Their financial transactions that Nigerian media would spend months and months searching for, the FBI has them at their fingertips.

What is in Bola Tinubu's FBI file is very important. Foreign intelligence agencies will never release such, for these are their aces in diplomacy, economic and security interests. The contents of these files are the scissors their countries will use to grab our president's balls.

No problem but when will Peter Obi tell us the law he “unknowingly broke” or would you guys petition UK to disclose the crime committed?
