There was a good friend of mine back in uniben. The guy was very smart in our set
We used to envy this guy lowkey
He was always top in class, Very smart guy
After graduation i never heard of him
We even thought he went abroad

Couple years passed. On the day my parents celebrated silver jubillee it was towards the end of the event in church reception hall after refreshment that i saw a guy with tear tear cloth packing left over rice to eat
Lo behold it was that guy
I just froze as i watch him in pity
I wanted to call his name but tears just roll from my eyes. I was shocked i couldnt move i just sat there watching as he was searching for food to eat from the leftovers

Someone we used to envy back in uni
Very bright and intelligent guy
Till this day i wonder what happened to that guy.
People arw passing theu hell in nigeria

So why didn't you make any efforts to help him out of his situation?

How many people did the fraud Obi removed from poverty when he was Anambra State governor? Among the four leading candidates in the just concluded election, Obi was the least qualified.. in a sane society, Obi won't get up to 5% votes. He had nothing to offer as a governor, he wouldn't have offered anything as a president. Unemployment rate is high because many Nigerians don't think, they are as shallow in their reasoning, just like you.

AFTER VIEWING YOUR COMMENT AND THE PERSON WHO YOU QUOTED, I AM HERE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WITH ALL SINCERITY, YOU ARE THE SHALLOW PERSON.

Please read!

A job seeker sends a DM to complain that most of the job opening posts by Recruiters and Hiring Managers are "fake" on social media and that the recruiter has given the jobs to their friends and relations, that they are just posting jobs to get more followers on social media.

I want to believe that most people on social media also have the same mindset, not just only this job seeker that sent the DM.

My advice to him is 99.999% of job openings/vacancies on social media are genuine and open to qualified candidates who have their CVs well detailed.

Take note of this point if you're a job seeker:
1. Fellow recruiters and hiring managers
2. Always be online (early application gives you an advantage)
3. Have a professional CV, don't use one CV to apply for various job openings (Revamp your CV)
4. Optimize your social media profile
5. Post and engage posts by making positive comments

Note: If you have a good LinkedIn profile, recruiters will enter your profile to search for your email or phone number(s) on how to reach out to you for job opportunities that suit your profile.

As a job seeker or you wish to change your job, do you know that if your LinkedIn profile is professionally optimized, LinkedIn will send to your email daily job openings based on your profession and other job openings related to your profession?

Let's optimize your LinkedIn profile to enable you to benefit from LinkedIn's daily job openings.

Note: ensure you have a soft copy of your CV (Word & PDF) on your mobile phone, it is called Easy Apply (once you receive the job opening/vacancies email from LinkedIn, you will just attach your CV from your mobile phone and apply.

For your professional LinkedIn Profile Optimization, Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) Compliance CV Revamp/Restructure, and Cover Letter.
Kindly contact me by sending a DM for a little fee.
Thanks so much for this, Oyindamolah.

Before any comments, we should ask ourselves. What is the population of Nigeria compared to the countries listed. Don't forget Nigeria is the 7th most populated Nation of the planet earth.
We are the biggest market in the black world. No Western Nation will pray for our growth and development, otherwise where will they sell their products. Secondly, allowing Nigeria to grow will create a super power in a black Nation.
Our population rises astronomically yearly while our gross domestic products remain stagnant. That means our level of production is far below Number of children we bring to life yearly

We should blame ourselves because leadership is a reflection of upbringing from individual families . So many families believe that their offspring must be rich at all cost regardless of the source. Funds that can provide for enabling business environment had been budgeted and released in the past but the money is either mismanaged or outrightly embezzled.
90% of businesses and companies across Europe are owned by individuals (creating jobs) . But in Nigeria we always wanted government to create everything especially for free

Dear friend,

Are you tired of struggling to make ends meet in Nigeria? Do you wish you had a way to earn a good income without having to spend years studying or working long hours? Well, I have some great news for you: with ChatGPT, you can write and publish a bestseller book in just one day, and start earning money right away!

You might be thinking: "But I'm not a writer! How can I possibly write a book that will sell?" That's where ChatGPT comes in. ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence writing assistant that can help you generate ideas, write drafts, and even complete entire articles or stories. It uses advanced algorithms to analyze your writing style and suggest ways to improve your work, so you can create high-quality content even if you've never written a book before.

Here's how it works: ...

shocked

wondering why Nigeria always takes the lead in everything bad and negative πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

Omo, I tire o.

imagine India with her enormous population still maintains below 10% of the total population, that is to say that only a little above 100 million people, which represents 7.7% of India's 1,400,000,000 population are jobless whereas about 1,300,000,000 people( more than 590% of Nigeria's population) are gainfully employed

while my dear country, with a population of 220,000,000 still struggling with unemployment to the extent that it got to over 33% of the total population.
That is to say that over 72,600,000 people in Nigeria, which represents 33%, out of a population of 220,000,000 people are jobless.

Our 72,600,000 out-of-work brothers and sisters which represents 33% of the total population in Nigeria only represents 5.2% of India's population, therefore, India is not Nigeria's mate in anything.

This right here is one of the reasons for the high unemployment rate - unemployability (a.k.a School na scam syndrome)

If you took out time to learn about the economic term "unemployment", you would have learnt that it is calculated based on the working-age population not the total population.

Out of circa 220m people, Nigeria has a working-age population of just about 118m. This working-age population are people between ages 15 and 64yrs currently about 53.7% of the total population. https://www.statista.com/statistics/382296/age-structure-in-nigeria/

For your personal development, below are various ways of calculating Unemployment.

1. Percentage of employed individuals = Number of people working / Working-age population x 100.

2. Total percentage of unemployed = Unemployed individuals / Working-age population x 100.

3. Unemployment rate = Total number unemployed / Total number in labor force x 100.

Cheers.

2014 was 5.7%, 1999 was 3.9%

What is your point?

Did you consider other factor? You want to act smart but it shows you are just doing everything to act like a typical Nigerian... Did you consider in 1999, Nigeria population is one hundred and something million, aside population, we have world pandemic now which affects economy all over the world besides those things weren't happening in 1999, now let's jump to 2014, more like everything is more peaceful over the world compare to now... We as Nigerian are not even helping matters like most youths nowadays leave their craft and join yahoo for quick money... We don't have that much greed for money before now...both men are women and lots of things that comes into play. Unless you weren't honest with yourself... Besides... Government can only create jobs which is open people who are interested in government work... Rest of it is left for you... Government won't come to give you jobs... Bottom line if you want to even blame government for job, blame each states government not the FG it's non of FG business. Even despite the law signed now that each state should build the FG roads and will be paid in full just like PH and even the electricity... How many state government have been working towards that...? Maybe only Lagos and even the same Lagos is not even trying at all compare to how big economy it is... So blame the state government not the FG.
Everything happening in Nigeria we all should FG without stating the state government, house of reps, local government chairman and so on who are closer to the people but we always shout FG... Is that not misplaced priority?
